194 LED switchback - side marker

Took a while for me to find this bulb and now that I have, the seller states that it may not be plug and play. Has anyone here had issues at all with installing these in our side markers? Are additional steps needed in order for this to work with our cars or are we lucky and just pop the bulb in and smile at the results?

You talking about the ones in the foglight bezel right? If it's a quality bulb it'll plug right in but you'll need to replace your flasher relay to one that supports LEDs otherwise you'll get the hyperblinking.

Not the front turn signal. This is for the actual side marker bulb size 194. Our front turn signal/fog light is a 7443 I believe.

I've been looking at trying to make some of these bulbs as I didn't think they existed. No they won't be plug and play though. You can't expect something with two wires to work with a three wire component. You would need a new socket. Then you would need to tap a signal wire.

Seeing as I would probably end up breaking everything I won't attempt to do this. However if you or anyone else with the proper knowledge to make it work want to try, here's a link to the bulb.

http://www.superlumination.com/switchback.html

It's a little more than halfway down the page. Anyone attempting to do this it would be awesome if you could do a write up on how to wire it to work in conjunction with our front turn signals.

These are the bulbs I found.
http://www.flyryde.com/product/194-S...px#description

It appears that the bulbs in both of our links require an additional controller. Neither of them are actually three wire. They work by polarity reversal with two wires. The ones in the link I posted come with the controller/module. The bulbs in my link are probably a lot nicer.

If I had the extra cash on hand and clear side marker lenses, I would be so down to do this. But you see I don't have extra cash on hand, nor do I have clear side marker lenses yet, so this would be almost pointless for me.

Aside form the obvious "I have to tap a wire", is there a reason why you wouldn't? The way I see it, someone has to make up for the assholes that don't signal.

That's what a nice, relayed pair of hella super tones will do, too ;-).

Speaking of... Another thing I need to get again...

I didn't use them, but I did use 194 switchbacks and You have to make a relay to use them. I have done so and it was not as fun as I thought but they turned out really cool. They will NOT plug in play at all. Those are a little different and looks like they did some of the wiring for you.

I have taken several videos of mine. I will post one when I get a chance.

If I added a relay to the line, the side blinkers would go
(Lights off) White-Amber-White-Amber
(Lights on) Amber-White-Amber-White
