Drivetrain Bushings - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

so I'm looking to replace the bushings for my drivetrain together and I want to confirm if I have all of them. I currently already have a Whiteline positive shift kit (transmission mount) and the Kartboy shifter bushing that came with the SS so I'm looking at buying the following:
Cusco engine mounts
Whiteline differential cradle and outrigger insert (KT925)
Whiteline rear subframe inserts (KT922)

do I have the correct choice of bushings/inserts?

Reason for replacing these parts? I have the STI engine mounts and I am quite happy.
The Whiteline inserts will give you plenty of NVH but so is the rear subframe inserts.
Had them in and the NVH was unbearable.

NVH isn't a big deal for me. the transmission bushing already gives me the gear whine and it still isn't a big deal. I actually kind of like it... sounds like a supercharger whine haha.

Your best bet is to change them one by one and test drive the car for a little before installing the rest, you would want to know what the parts do individually before you just throw everything on at once, well just my opinion.

Looks like you have all the bushings covered for the driveline.

You've got everything covered, very similar to what I run. NVH is fine, slight added vibration from the motor mounts, some mild mechanical noise from the transmission, and some whine from the diff.

Honestly, the guys running loud exhausts and cheap coilovers are compromising WAY more on the NVH front.

OK cool. the way I see it, I think the engine mount and transmission mount would produce the most NVH. I already have the transmission mount and don't get bothered by it, and my previous car had PU engine mounts which I didn't mind at all. even if the diff inserts would produce some NVH, it would be behind me near the rear seats and would probably not have a noticeable impact. all in all, it would be a good trade for a more compliant drivetrain IMO.

plus I already have a cat back and usually drive with my windows down or cracked, so NVH won't be a big deal.
