wahsaihin's 2013 Kraftwerks SC'd Subaru BRZ

Hi Guys,

Here are some pics of my car from a recent photo shoot done by Jason Hoang here in Calgary AB, Canada.

For his full blog post feature on my car, click here: http://lifewithjson.com/2014/08/28/k...hs-subaru-brz/

I'm not in the groove right now to do a full technical write-up on my project/build, but I will say that I have definitely achieved my goals with the car. The KWSC really gives it the power boost it needed while the suspension and wheel setup maintains the awesome balance characteristics of the car. When a track opens next year (hopefully), the plan is to tweak the tune a bit more and get some additional aero and a 17" wheel tire/combo for track use.

In any case, here as some pictures. The rest can be viewed at the blog post above.

Thanks!

Love that car in motion picture, very sweet. What front lip and side skirts are those? Also what 17" wheel size tire combo are you looking into?

Thanks. I'm running the base tune from KW which is rated at about 270 WHP on 91 octane and stock internals. I have not dynoed yet, but will do so when I custom tune, possibly sometime next spring.

I felt that the SC options were more plug and play and would have less issues in the long run. I am not looking for a 400 WHP car. So far I have had zero issues with the unit after 9000 km. I do reckon I will get a oil cooler next year too as I plan to track the car.

I really liked the linear power of the unit and I know that KW has turned out some really good kits for other high compression engine cars like the s2000 and 8th/9th gen Civic Si. The final product also looked of a high quality. So far no regrets at all, I feel that I made the right choice.

I spy stock header . Seriously nice car. S/C = track and Turbo = more street use. Key is consistent power. Before you take it to the track, get an oil cooler. You can thank me later.

Depends on what you want to do and how much money you have. Turbo is for Street/DD and S/C is better for the track. Linear power curve, and dumps less heat into the engine bay. For track all you need IMO is the following to be reliable on the track with a S/C: Good tune, solid kit(Jackson Racing, Kraftworks, or Vortec) oil cooler, and that's really about it.(Brakes, tires, fluid , etc... are already a must in my eyes) Turbo you need extensive mods to keep the car cool and deliverer consistent power.

yep. you and I are on the exact same page here. everything I have done so far and everything I plan to get is based on this philosophy.

Nice results, and a very tasteful build. Was the S2000 boosted?
