[QUESTION] Aftermarket lights and needing stock HID?

What I want to know I want to buy aftermarket lights for each part: Winjet (style?) headlights, Valenti REVO or TOM's rears, Valenti third light, Secret 86 sidemarkers, fog lights (any suggestions?) , and finally front indicators (ones above the fog lights).

But I see now and then lights mention they need you to have basically the upgraded model in order to use HID headlights, etc.

My question is can someone explain this to me a little more so I don't buy something I can't use? I plan on getting the base model FRS with no upgrades. Is there any way around this?

Thank you!

The Valenti headlights are only suitable for HID model cars which means it has a 8pin connector. The halogen model frs has a 6pin connector. So that's your first issue and would require custom wiring to work. The next issue is the Valenti headlights don't come with the HID bulbs or ballast, it is expected your transfer these items from your factory HID headlights. So you will need to source these parts. In theory it can be done and someone has already, but these are the things preventing you from being plug-n-play.

The new Valenti revo tail lights probably won't be released until next year.

Apart from the Valenti headlight headlights, the rest you listed shouldn't have any main challenges to install.

Thanks for the answer.

One thing, though: I won't be getting Valenti headlights. I'll be getting either the Winjet or the Spyder headlights.

I watched the fteightysix videos on them and I THINK they are meant to work with non-HID FRS models. Gonna write them to make sure, first.

Side note: anyone ever see those Spyder headlights without the turn signal but with the halo eyes? I've seen pictures but never can find them online without the turn signal along the bottom.

I guess basically I want the Winjet style with halo/angel eyes.

For the other headlights like Winjet, spyder, specD they are made for the frs and have a 6pin connector and halogen bulbs. You can fit hid kits into these types.

Keep this in mind: just because HID bulbs fit the FR-S version, doesn't mean it's correct. HIDs in a halogen projector will blind oncoming traffic.

There's no option without the turn signal for the spyder headlights but the turn signal does not have to be wired up. I have the non angel eye version of the spyders they're great.

While this is correct the projector on the spyders is great with HIDs after adjustment cut off is sharp and light out good
