Squeaky power window

My left power window makes an annoying squeaking sound, does anybody experience the same issue?

Yes. Same with my 2020, traveling down only, and the squeal is piercing. In my 86 the culprit is the gasket that the glass travels between as it moves. I've experimented with stretching the gasket slightly by pulling a small dowel along it (both sides with the window down) to stretch it away from the glass, but the effect was minor and temporary. I've tried waxing the gasket by using a slim candle in the same way. That worked better but, again, only temporarily. A good solution would be welcome.

If the noise is from the glass sliding on the gasket, try silicone spray.

Thanks, do you mean the gasket inside the door, in the vertical guides for the glass, right?
I heard of other 86 with the same issue, only driver glass, and only going down.

Yes. I can't be sure if the inner or outer side is causing the squeal.

Clean the inside and outside window gasket surfaces as completely as you can. Then spray the inside and outside of the window completely with rain-x. Be sure to wipe it down after the rain-x dries.

Rain-X is worth trying. I'll get some this weekend. Thanks.

Rain-X has made a difference. I've used it only on the inside of the window to isolate which side has been squealing, and no squealing so far.

Good suggestion. Thanks.
