Unhappy OEM reverse camera with Aftermarket HU

Hi guys just some context:

I've installed the Pioneer DMH-A4450BT into my 2015 86 GTS, and have everything else working except the OEM camera currently.

I have the following adapter which is meant to adapt the reverse camera into RCA that I can use with my head unit:
https://aerpro.com/apvty04

The problem is it does nothing. I hit the pins in the 4-pin connector with a multimeter and it seems they don't do anything at all? As far as I thought, this should have just been a plug and play adapter

I've had a look around for pin-outs and diagrams and can't find many that even mention this 4-pin plug, except for these adapters. In my stock HU I can see it was plugged in there so I'd assume it does something. Looking at pin-outs for other plugs, it looks like the camera power and video might be in the big 28-pin plug that I don't have hooked up to anything?

Any help would be appreciated as it's the only thing I need to sort out

EDIT: Not sure if I can delete my own thread, but I believe my issues could be caused by not having the reverse signal wire hooked up correctly, which may power the camera and get everything working. I'm going to try see if this is the case tomorrow

yea, you need the reverse wire connected, or provide alternative power to the camera, and signaling to the head unit to make it all work.

IIRC, the OEM camera is six volts, make sure.voltage levels are compatible with your aftermarket system…

I went the other direction- installed a aftermarket camera with my 2013 OEM stereo and it required a relay to source a 12 volt circuit for the camera.
