Installing a subwoofer

So I was wondering what kind of subwoofers people here are using for their BRZ. I myself drive the 2020 TS model and was wondering if the car come prewired for a subwoofer since the dealership says they can install it in like an hour. I’m also curious if it’s worth getting the one sold by them or buying one to fit in that slot or even making the “box” myself to fit that space. Thanks I’m advance guys.

the one they sell is pre-made to fit, with plug-n-play harnesses. but it's mostly non-adjustable. the bass you get out of it is all you get, better or worse.

there is no pre-wiring for an aftermarket sub in the car.

my first FRS had the upgraded headunit which came with RCA connections on the back, damn it was was so easy to hookup everything to my own amp/sub...I got the upgraded headunit on my 2nd FRS but they changed it so it no longer has the RCA ports so your only options are to get different HU or get some toyota wiring harness and connect through the wiring that goes to stock amp in the trunk..

this is how I hooked up mine..

Thanks so it does seem like I would have to run my own cables to get an amp and sub in there since I don’t want to fork out the money for their own stock ones
