OFT: Cannot create a tuning file

Hi all,

I have been searching similar threads for hours but couldn't find an answer to solve my problem.

I have just read my ecu, which is ZA1JF10G

When I plug OFT device to OBD port, device says "Mod file not found. Cannot create a tuning file for ZA1JF10G"

Then I downloaded latest tuned file zip file from oft website.
I've tried to upload all the files zipped in that file to the device but none of them were compatible to my calibration file. What should I do?

One more question, i see "pedal dance" function on videos but this function doesn't even appear on my OFT device. is it normal?

Car: 2015 BRZ, from Turkey (EU market)

Thanks

If oft read your ecu ok, it just means it doesnt have F10G roms in its database, go to the oft website and diwnliad tune pack and upliad the F10G rom you need to oft

Also you may need to update oft firmware by loading openfladh manager onto you windows computer its on oft site as wrll and plug in oft to computer so it updates this should get pedal dance function. If still no good updste template file theirs one at end of OFT TIPS link below

Steve, the tunepack doesn't have F10G roms. Latest is D00G for EU roms.
@ OP, you need to e-mail openflash support for a ROM. Tell them you have a unsupported ROM (include the stock ROM). They should send you a correct ROM.

Arrh ok

F10G is compatable with A01G, so bast option is to hack it, that way you get launch and ffs patch good definitions and good tunes

I've sent a mail to sales@openflash, i hope this is correct address and I would get a response

I've already connected the device to laptop with wifi connection and have done lots of updates. Now HW version: 1.35 SW version 1.47

Is this a method: Open another "supported" tuned rom file with romraider, compare the differences with that rom's ori file and apply those differences to my own rom?
Will I have same stage1 tune file with this?

Thanks

Yes you could manually transfer all the changed tables, however sometimes the definitions between say A01G and F10G will not match up

I got a respond from openflashtablet quickly. Thats really nice.

They sent all the files.

Here's the question: I've tried to open stg1 tuned file at RomRaider to check the differences with ori file. But the definition XML file which is suitable for my ori file is not supporting new tuned files which are came from Openflashperformance.

Is it normal? Is there any encryption?

There is no encryption, but the error is probably because the rom has been cal id hacked.
I've uploaded a small program to check te CalId (created by Wayno and Steve99). Place the program in a folder and paste the rom inside it. Let it run and paste the output here.
Then we know which definition you really need.

link= Calid checker

This is a example picture of how it should look:

Thank you for your response.

This is how it looks:

ZA1JF10G: is the stock file which i read from my car's ecu by OFT
Stg1 F10G: is the file which openflashperformance sent me upon my request via email.

So will it work if i flash it to my car's ecu?

No problem flashing the stage1 file, it will work.
Also I've added a definition file for you.
It's A01G def edited for use with your OFT F10G rom's.
Do not use this with your original rom!

Thank you so much! Appreciate!

Do you also have stock bin file for that "hacked f10 stg1" rom in order to compare tuned file vs stock file?

In Steve99's topic "Tactrix EcuFlash Info for BRZ 86 FRS Rom flash update and logging there are stockroms at the bottom of the first post. Use a A01G rom to compare. Less chance to use a wrong definition since all OFT G-roms are A01G based.

edit:
Since you are from the EU, you can look at Wayno's roms also. They are more optimized for the EU fuels.
Wayno's topic - alternate maps
