I am very tempted to go with the 335, but not sure how it would be as a daily driver. Not sure if a turbo is too torquey for daily driving though. @moto-mike mentioned the 210 is like a strong V6 and the 335 is like a strong V8!

The reason I'm unsure about turbo, besides potential engine issues, is I don't want to mess with the NA feel of the engine, but would like some low end torque and larger HP. Others have mentioned a turbo completely ruins the car and you sort of lose what this car was initially all about. I don't think I will be tracking anytime soon, if ever.

Just waiting to hear back from @moto-mike on reliability standpoint of the 335 on a non-built engine.
I'm hoping to be able to hit a reliable and safe 300-350 whp on 94 octane running the 335.

People have been holding their breath since the rumors started at SEMA 2013. Reality is that it is just a coating, and the QC and testing process can take far longer than most want to wait. I would not recommend waiting for it. it maybe two weeks, or it may be 2 years, or it may never happen if the testing shows it doesn't hold up or isn't worth it.

210-v6, 335 - v8, rotrex - honda powerband. Nothing wrong with a 300hp honda, but they are totally different animals and there are people that clearly prefer one over the other. But I'd urge that folks compare torque, not HP. Then figure out where you want it.

For example, below are two cars that are only 13 HP apart. Which one do you think is faster? (hint: the one with 80 more torque!)

We started with our base 210 tune, and then obviously turned down the cam timing and ignition timing. To err on the safe side, ethanol was added to get about a 60% mixture. We're running the Deatschwerks 700cc injectors and the DW65c fuel pump with our flex fuel kit.

Starting it up we had some misfire issues on #2 (this car has had it) and after some hard revving we cleared up and went for a drive.

Initial impressions: The Sprintex base (210) kit makes the car act like a strong v6. This kit? Strong v8. Having tuned just about every variant of this car, I'm incredibly pleased with the power and response. With the winter tires on the car 1st-3rd is a spin fest at WOT. 4th was loose, at 4,500 RPM. Yup, that potent. It isn't just the tires though, it has a ton of pull before it breaks them loose.

But we all know a big blower makes big power. More importantly, we're doing this with timing in the teens, on E60, and very rich AFRs. That means we're at a good baseline with plenty to go.

I know most everyone wants to know if this kit will work on pump gas vs e60. I think it will work as well as any other kit. I'd guess we're 12-14 psi or so, but that's 12-14 psi starting at 2500 rpm. Estimated since we don't have a boost source hooked up yet. We'll run down some of the ethanol gradually and watch the knock counts as we dilute it out. Tuning will be 100% the determining factor here IMO, but we've done tons of 14+ psi systems and I don't see any issue with this kit doing it vs another.

We'll keep updating as we rack up the miles and get more findings. The car sees about 18k/year and we even put snows on it so it can remain the DD.

Until then enjoy the media and the glorious sounds from our shorty intake!

Innovate kit feels most like the naturally aspirated engine to me, which is important.
