It's almost been about to be a year for my ownership of the legacy and knew fully well that I was intentionally going to be trading it away after I got it, but even right now I actually have takers who want my car too. I don't think he was over-extending his opinion at all. Especially since he's in the industry. Growing up I was always taught to keep a car for a respectable season of use in order to get value, and buying newish pre-owned was best. I grew up in a wealthy family (though I have none, hehe) and my parents would call this kind of car purchasing frivolous and irresponsible.
