I've had the non-ic blower installed now for around a week so here's my thoughts on it - it's really all going to be in the tune, and how "happy" the car is. I have a flex fuel setup, but ran pump 93 for a few tanks just to make sure the tune was happy - I don't have the stock carb approved tune (can't speak for the videos you saw). I just started putting E85 into the car and while it seems to wake it up more, pump 93 was very good too. Attached is a compare of data from when the car was NA on E85, vs. SC Pump 93 - I wouldn't pay much attention to the actual numbers, however the conditions these two logs were in were similar - same road, same direction, same car, about the same amount of fuel, same tires, same driver, etc.

In short expect to spend a little time with the tuner, but the car is capable of what you want really - you just need to give the feedback. That being said, the tune I currently have I typically need to let it warm up before I get the solid acceleration off the line - if you try it when the engine is cold, or the AM hasn't had a chance to rise it hesitates a little (My tune defaults to .85 on startup). Once warmed up properly though I haven't had the problem.

HTH!

After reading this report from Edmunds, I am discouraged even more about spending thousands of dollars for the advertised upgraded power. Somehow they were only able to gain an additional 40 hp from the aftermarket kit. I am sure the car was only running on premium instead of the E85 fuel (along with no IC), but the 0 to 30 MPH times were actually slightly higher than the OEM NA configuration. Also, I do not have a E85 station in close proximity to my house in Atlanta.
I also viewed a Innovate BRZ YouTube video where the driver pretty much corroborated the lack of improved acceleration in the sub 3500 rpm range. I am sure I would love the power in the higher RPM's, but driving around town I would rarely be able to enjoy it.
Can someone please convince me that my research is flawed and the low-end torque is substantially improved once the kit is installed properly with the addition of the intercooler.

Thanks in advance.

I came back to edit this post after reading about the new Innovate 210+ kit and 335 kit. Maybe I should just keep waiting until these new kits become available and perfected in the US.
