I figure just a new bracket to hold the first gen crank position sensor at the correct distance to read. The stock sensor is mounted to a little bracket already on the driver side at a little window...

The crank position sensor and reluctor are different on 17’+ as well. Innie vs. outie like the cam position and I believe the crank position sensor has an extra wire vs. pre 17’ cars.

Bummer. Wasn’t this a built engine? Wonder what caused the rapid unassemble? It’s in enough pieces it’d be too hard to tell which was chicken/egg. Are the big ends of the rods tight?

That is why I think it is such a good practice car. It is really frustrating but once you start getting the hang of it, it’s pretty rewarding. It really likes slow wheel movements too.
