CEL and Traction Light came on today
 

Just driving and both of these lights came on and the traction light went off then came back. The check engine light never went off. Called dealership so that I can bring it in but has anybody had this problem and if so what was the issue.

same thing happened to me. ended up just being the gas cap wasnt on tight

the gas cap would throw a CEL but the slip light?

ya slip light came on too. it was weird

That's crazy that it would cause the slip light to come on as well. I thought it might have been the gas cap as well. I opened it up and closed it back tight but lights are still on. So I'm gonna run it on my Toyota Techstream and see if the problem comes up. If not then I'm gonna take it into Toyota this week because I don't want to chance it if it happens to be something else. I just hope it isn't something major because I just got the car in March. But thanks for responding @mike123mdc

they might have to update ur computer if they havent yet

My FR-S did the same thing about a month after I bought it. Had to take it in and get the ECU replaced. There's a whole thread on the issue here:

Same thing happened to me a while ago, had to to get the ECU updated. Hopefully everything works out man!

What was the problem?

I had this problem and checked the fault code on torque app. Mine was due to system too rich error. If you have aftermarket air intake then that might be it.
