Wheel spec help
 

I purchased a set of WedsSport SA10Rs in 18x9.5 +45 used from a third party seller.

I'm on stock height and plan to stay that way for a while. I'm wondering on the fitment in the front? I've googled and read a lot, and some people say theres some rubbing, others are fine with coils etc.

I plan to get 255s since this car is my daily and I've heard tires that are too stretched aren't good.

Also, is it possible to full lock my wheels? I can run spacers but I dont know the recommended size. My cars suspension is currently fully stock.

I've also heard I need new lug nuts, but I have no idea which ones to buy.

I bought 18x8.5 with 33 offset with 245/40/18 tire for the front and I'm on stock suspension. I don't get any rubbing whatsoever when locking but I have heard that people usually stick with my tire size to prevent rubbing.

i tired that but i can't really tell if it'll fit on stock height. I was wondering if any other people with the same or similar setup can help me determine the best tire size, if the wheels can fit on stock suspension

Point of note: the calculator is good, the idiot imputing the data wasn't.

Another point of note: opps, hope they were cheap, what did they come off? What do they "really fit"?

I think +40 as about the minimum offset to run 9" wheels, I can't imagine that 9.5" +45 would fit, I think you'll have interference with the strut.

Why not ask questions before buying wheels?

Honestly you're going not going to fit. You'll at lease need a 15mm spacer to clear stock suspension, coil overs at lease a 10mm.
You'll have a good amout of poke so some camber would be needed.
Even then you'll run into the problem of destroying your fender when hitting bumps on the road.
solution would be coilovers -4 camber if you want to run your 255 and your wheel combo with 10 mm spacer.

Im not sure about full lock, but like ZDan said +40 is about the minimum off set for a 9

Hahaha yeah I found a few potential buyers from fb. Any size recommendations? I want 18s but it seems 17 is the best route for stock height:/

There are tons of 18s that will fit. Personally I think 17s look better, especially without big brakes on the car...

If you want 18s that fit stock struts, stick with 18x8 or 18x8.5, with offsets in the +40 to +45 range, and run 225/40-18 size tires. Or you could run staggered wheels/tires with 225/40-18 fronts on 18x8 or 18x8.5 and 255/35-18 rears on 18x9 or 18x9.5 if you want. No reason to do that other than looks tho, what with 200hp and 55/45 weight distribution...

I was going to say if you’re determined to stay stock, just look to sell or trade. If you want 18s, I probably wouldn’t go wider than 8.5. Do you some research and look at pictures. Some people think 18s are too big and some think it looks just fine.

Also, I know there’s someone selling the same wheels you bought, but in 8.5 and think the offset is +45 so you can still get that wheel if you like that model. Really considered them and I’ve seem them at stock height with 225/40 and it looks pretty good

fwiw im on 18x8+45 225/40 stock susp. absolutely no problems there but thats not surprising.
i think u will fit your sa10r wheels, heres why:
u will need 25mm spacers to retain the oe clearance from susp. components. that will make the wheels poke, but thats no problem bc you are not lowered. if your fenders were low asf, then you wouldnt want your tired directly under them, but youll have plenty clearance bc ur ride height is high, the only thing i see happening is slight fender rub at full turn in parking garages but who really cares abt that
get muteki sr48 nug luts lol, theyre the industry standard. replace after 2-3 years if need be(winter driving etc), but dont get suckered into spending $250 on nug luts
id get 235/40 tires for 9.5, but you can play it even safer and get 225
you see poke doesnt really matter if you have plenty ride height
