Can you be a little more specific for #2? What exactly are you giving to the guys who are providing their vehicle?

As a Houstonian with an automatic arriving soon... I'll speak up. Can you give us real details about what you plan to do?

Most people would be apprehensive about handing their cars over to a shop for R&D of a very delicate system that already has proven to be relatively bulletproof.

Are we talking friction plates and drive plates? Extended capacity transmission pans? Seals? Coolers? Gearsets? Sychros?

How about some some positive reviews not by "Dong Wang" LINK

I want good products to be developed, so let's give the right testers sufficient reason to sacrifice seat time for these projects.

If I didn't need my car for daily driving I would be all over this. I have no transportation to work if I turn over my car unfortunately.

Just to be clear, I am not doing any R&D myself. I am simply a devoted member trying to get more parts made for us. Companies contact me (or I contact them) with an R&D need, and I try to find someone to help them out.

It has been a while since I spoke with Kris at SSP, but I know that he had ambitious plans for the car. I know that he was interested in doing some extensive work on the 6AT, so if you're interested in making your car a beast (which will take some time), I would give him a call and talk details.

Now as for Pat at Level 10, he is primarily interested in working on a torque converter (much quicker turnaround), but I am sure that he can do more at the customer's request.

***If anyone is interested in making their AT car noticeably faster, give these guys a ring and hash out the details.

Automatic transmissions are complicated little buggers and that's why I won't rebuild them. However, I would hope that shops who have
worked on countless vehicles could be trusted.

Level 10 has been around forever and I heard good things about them from old Eclipse buddies of mine.

As for SSP, they just kicked ass on "R U faster than a Redneck?" on Speed Channel...isn't that good enough....
