I'm testing out the new ECU protocol AiM has for our cars. Unfortunately, there's no oil temp channel available yet. :-( Any know how it is accessed? I can forward it on to them in the hopes they can implement it.

@orthojoe there's a few threads on accessing the info already (see below). It does come to the ODB2 port from the OEM oil temp sensor but is a unique Toyota code. To access the data someone needs to crack the Toyota PID code or pay heaps of money to Toyota to get it.
HKS have done that so their OB-Link works and shows oil temp - must have cost them a heap to get the unique codes from multiple manufacturers. AiM will need the info from Toyota unless someone that had the codes spills the beans! http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23232 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23427 .

@MSTiFK8R I love the look of the single DIN gauges you have with the single DIN stereo.
I see you are running a separate oil temp sensor from the OEM one and looking at the Defi website it seems that this is required. I have the HKS OB-Link that reads it from the OBD2 connector and would love to be able to link that to the Defi gauge. Is there any way you know of for the Defi gauge to pick up the info coming from the OEM sensor? .

I cant say for sure, but 99% for you CAN NOT link OEM to Defi BTW - your ECU needs the oil temp data coming to make some justificatons, so I assume that a proper solution is to just get separate sensor |

Thanks!
Where did you buy the Greedy stuff? It would have been so much easier if the drip cup had been pressed onto the block rather than cast as a part of it. I've yet to see a drop of oil spill from the filter when I take it off. |

BTW if you intend to get the Mocal cooler you can use any sandwich plate for the temp/pressure gauges, or should be able to anyways. I haven't test fit my glowshift one yet.
