I'm sure eventually I will go though. I went once with stock FRS and got a best of 14.7 @ 93mph.
I'm considering changing to an iron block 4.8. It will add 100lbs which is disappointing but my 5.3 aluminum block from kijiji is no good. Bearings are toast and it's knocking.
Junkyard 4.8 is by far the cheapest fix and they can handle boost really easy.
Would like to do a swap my 3 I'm considering is 2jz, FA20DIT from a 2015 WRX, or an LS (not sure which LS would be best). thoughts? Great 1/4 mile time would be awesome but if it's something I can. Drift and track too not just 1/4 mile that would be ideal..

You say how easy it is... I think you under-estimate your technical skill... I'd probably put this in backwards, cut half the suspension off to make it fit and then accidentally reverse it into the middle of a highway.

Supercharging is just so much easier, but I admire your efforts. And if I'm honest I have thought about a V8 conversion. I love the sound, and in this light body it must be great to have that extra oomph!
I'd need it done by a pro though (which costs).

LOL amazing...canbus solution for $75. See what happens when high IQ meets low budgets? Meanwhile other threads have posters discussing four-figure MOTEC modules to solve this problem.

More proof that the only sensible power mod to this car is an LS swap.

I tend to price thing I sell on the low side but you may be right.
Maybe I should have got more but it's too late now.
My loss is someone else's gain and I can live with that.
Unfortunately lately I've been very busy, I was hoping I'd make more improvements with the vehicle, maybe get ABS turned on.
Canadian winter is coming soon, but I have high hopes for next year.

If you have done a project like this you know that sometimes the space is just as important as the money. Just being gone has a value.

It's seldom noted in any swap threads, but this kind of activity takes up a lot of room!

Agreed. While you can almost certainly get 5-6k for a motor with so few kms, you'd probably have to hang onto it for a while before you'd get that for it and as @NOHOME notes, sometimes having the space is more important. At 2600 it's a very quick sale.

Seems like a very viable swap for power. There is indeed no replacement for displacement. Especially on the top end... These cars just CRAWL when getting past 127MPH. I'd love to bolt a hefty turbo onto mine, but uh... I don't exactly see that happening. Ever.

Might be a good idea for me to swap a V8 into mine, when it stops being my only car to drive. Cheaper parts, definitely. More aftermarket support.

I currently have 3 350 4 bolt mains sitting in my garage half taken apart
an old 305 from a Camaro and 2 turbo 350 trannys
I agree I would love the room
I was more asking to see what the current price of what a new block like that would go for

plus I'm cheap as hell, so id probably hold on to it
