Erk. Motorcycles are suicide. Everybody falls. Everybody. It's like the track in a car. Everybody goes off at some point. The difference is, you have a metal cage, a seat belt, airbags, and crumple zones.

How about this one:

A co-workers boyfriend doing some hoonigan crap on his cbr wiped out, broke every major bone in the lower half of his body and had to be medivacced out. Several surgeries, pins, and 5 years later he still can't walk right and has permanent nerve damage. But, the helmet did save his melon.

P.S. he had no medical insurance at the time... $$$

Had to look that one up but yes, very appropriate.

To save everyone else the time Adele was a character that only actually appered in one Sherlock Holmes story, but was constantly brought up and referenced throughout the remaining stories.

you'd rather be hot than dead, trust me. i've lost more riding buddies than i'd like to remember. most of them weren't wearing a helmet at the time, and only one of them were 'at fault'. shit happens, and it ain't worth it. gotta give yourself every chance you can.

that said, i'll ride until the day i die. just gotta get one of those new panigales, and a matching helmet of course
Wtf with how much we talk... How have we never talked about two wheel life?! I feel like I don't even know you all of a sudden.

There's no point in being alive if you never live to begin with. Putting a knee down for the first time is a religious experience you'll never get from a cage.

Plus 1,wear it all the time! My one crash cost me my left arm and right leg, the helmet kept a 3 month coma from being permanent.

Since were off topic... You're a shooter I'm guessing by the name? Yet another hobby in common lol.

To each his own, I suppose. Danger does not excite me. I'm not big on guns either.

Yes sir! I have worked as a tool and die maker for 20 years prior to my wreck. I have been doing custom gunsmithing nearly that long. I do lots of long range shooting and build rifles on a regular basis.

Thread started to ask how his car was doing.

Now gets advice on how not to die on a bike.

Priceless.

Let the man do what he wants. His life. Maybe he wants to have the chance of dyeing so his FRS horror story will end.

And he always referred to her as "The woman" and more in infamy, too.

Pistoleer, myself. But nice rifles are always a good thing.

Motorcycles looks like a real blast & the fun factor is probably to be had a lower cost than cars I'd reckon. However, I figure I'm too old to start doing something stupid (not too old to keep doing it, but too old to start), so I'll just keep my expensive hobbies limited to cars & guns.
