wow, car in process of sale..

So last I talked with you guys, I was going to hold off parting it out blah blah, and keeping the car for some time.

That exact night, I got a message from a forum member here, and gave me an offer for the asking price. I thought it was a 50/50 shot, but the buyer seems pretty serious, and tomorrow I will be calling his bank.

Sooooo.. If it goes through (although still a chance it will fall through), looks like I will be officially finished here.

I have mixed feelings right now, excited to be car shopping but at the same time, I never had so much fun and met so many great enthusiasts in the region. I went off the modding scene for a while, and thought I would never come back (wasn't really hardcore, didn't have the money in college, still not sure how kids dumped 20k in to their projects in highschool/college years).

This car brought back my modding roots, something I always loved since I was a child. My goal was Function and Form (yes I know its near impossible) but I think I achieved my goal with this car. If I lived in a house with free spaces to park multiple cars, I would of kept this car for a very very long time.

I think this car looks f'n amazing, a blank canvas to mod, simple, and has a attitude compared to a Miata. I've never had so many compliments on a car, and I've driven cars twice, 3 times the cost of this car.

Every moment I had with this car, the experience and the emotions it gave me, maybe more significant than some people I've met in my life. It brought joy, anger, confusion, love, everything that you can feel towards a human.

Some owners move on, never looking back or talking down on the twins with buyers remorse. I'd like to appreciate the moments we had, and learn from them. This is a fantastic fucking car, and if you can't comprehend the fact that you are cross shopping with cars twice the price range/twice the power/twice the size, its already too good in its class (or there is not equivalent in the class). Its a classic car without it being classic.

I hope to be re-united to the twins in the future, when my life enables me to have a project car in my own garage that I can tinker in. Until then, fairwell, adieu, sayonara to my favorite car I have ever owned.

Nicely said Kohei. As much as I hate to see you sell your car, I get you have bigger and better things to move onto. You're a great enthusiast to have in the community and its been a great experience to have met you. Please keep in touch. Other than that. Enjoy your new car with what ever you decide to settle on, and if I never end up hearing from you again. Congrats on the baby.

I don't have spaces to put my cars since I live in a condo, and assigned parking space. My wife drives a 328 coupe so we don't need 2 coupes. Newly married, just trying to get something more practical for future family.

I'm looking at a 2012 ~ 2014 WRX/STI Hatch, 2015 Golf R, unicorn Focus RS. I really wish the 2015 wrx had a hatch.. I saw this one on NASIOC, and the mods I would probably do anyways, minus a few things:

I would've kept the BRZ and trade in the BMW and get her a family car. :P

I guess when you make a statement like this it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy

It's been a pleasure getting to know you and watching your car evolve over the past year or so. While it sucks to see you go, I'm glad you were able to get what you wanted out of the BRZ and not go through the hassle of parting it out. Good luck with whatever the future holds, and know there will always be a place for you at any of our future meets. Just don't park the Golf/Audi (if that's what you choose) anywhere near us, those electrical problems are contageous!

My car is the only thing that I have that isn't a compromise for my family. It's the only time I have to myself. I love my family, but sometimes I need that quiet time, just me, my car, and some twisty back roads.

I feel the same way... mine is sold, but I'm not going anywhere. Will probably have to create a forum just for us PDX 86ers, haha.
