Just read MAPerformance's thread on the EcoBoost. That torque is unreal.

Paul is only driven by horsepower and torque. Most times I never agree with his tastes at all. Todd has said plenty times he favors a low weight, RWD, manual, balanced, sports car. And he always loved the FR-S as it harkens back to the older days for him and a lot of enthusiast.

I was a bit sad to hear that they bought one with an extended warranty though. Not much hope they'll try FI or even something as simple as header/tune.

I'm pretty happy to hear that Todd got himself an FR-s. i enjoy most of these guys reviews. He mentioned that he wanted a Lotus but went with his budget of 20k and got himself a used FR-s. Great buy for him i hope he enjoys it as much as all of us enjoy ours

With that being said, I'm not totally sure Paul isn't also expressing geniune non-enthusiast leanings. Paul doesn't seem to care how power is made (turbo, SC, big displacement, etc), just so long as it's there. Paul also doesn't seem to care which wheels drive the car, just so long as it feels "sporty". Paul seems to prioritize GT comfort over Sports car communication. He's definitely more of the "everyday driver" on the cast. So much so that it irks the enthusiast in me to hear his commentary on cars like the FR-S that he doesn't seem to understand very well. It's like my mom reviewing an Elise. She'd never really get it. Paul also seems to have a Ford bias that causes him to gush about anything with a blue oval not named Subaru. If this is the case, it's not a good direction. |

These guys don't put out videos weekly. They are relatively slow by YouTube standards. Yet they've featured the twins 5 times by my count. Probably because we increase their view count each time. |

Paul revealed on their podcast that he previously worked for Ford. He has a formal background in car design. This explained a lot in terms of how he's so into interior comfort, design and feel. It's a different perspective from a buyer like me willing to give up what I consider unnecessary luxury for car feel because I can't afford a Cayman for both! LOL!
