I am not so sure a face plate is a good idea.. if the belt is falling off there is obviously an issue somewhere.. putting a face plate on will just mask that problem and could cause another.. also if the face plate is big enough to work and the belt does try to jump ship.. the belt will try to ride up on the face plate and could try to eat at the side of the belt. It might stay on but you will still have a belt that will prematurely fail..

There are plenty of people with both 70mm and 75mm belts that are not having this problem.. I have run both pulleys on the belt that came with the kit with no problems.. yet... 10,000 miles..

I might not be seeing the whole picture and a face plate may be a good solution but I would exhaust all other solutions first..

just my 2 cents..

I agree.
The charger pulley can't be running straight, as this is the only pulley that has influence prior to the stock set up!
The idle pulley added does not guide the belt, so that can't cause the problem.
Did you verify you have the correct idle pulley for the 75mm or 70mm pulley?

using the idler pulley that came with the kit, and AFAIK, they didn't sell the kit with a 70mm, so it's gotta be the right size. atleast i hope it is.

Have you checked to see if the supercharger pulley is turning freely without wobble? take the belt off, and spin the pulley, and see if it has a wobble in it. Not sure if you answered that prior.

The Sprintex kit came with a small idler pulley for 80mm pulley (I think the non intercooler is 80mm) then the intercooler kit had a bigger idler pulley with the 75mm pulley.

He got his stateside, which means its Innovate, not Sprintex, so I wouldn't think that would matter.

We were only offered non-intercooled with the 75mm pulley, there was no other option for pulley size.

Our kit came standard with 80mm charger pulley, with a 60mm idler pulley.
The Intercooler kit came with a 75mm pulley and a 70mm idler pulley.

Not saying the kits are identical, however, check the size of your idler pulley, for the 75mm.

Sounds like they are trying to maintain a certain amount of belt contact. That's some really good info. I'd love to hear from others with the innovate version of the kit to see if innovate also did this.

okay, so we just swapped the belt (5061010 - dayco) and it took us about 20 minutes to get the belt over the final pulley, and we had to turn the crank to get it to go on.

also, i'm uploading a video right now of the pulleys/old belt, and it really didn't look like there was any wobble, just too much play in the tensioner because of how long the belt is. possible that the belt that comes with it is too long?

I checked the run out of the pulley and it was fine, the belt ran in the middle if the supplied idler. The issue was when the throttle would close the tensioned would loosen letting slack into the belt, letting it jump a tooth on the super charger. The new belt is about 1/2 inch smaller like mentioned in n earlier post. Now the tensioner doesn't have as much free play and should be fine.

EDIT: I was able to remove the arm, connect things off the car, then reinstall. DISREGARD MY QUESTIONS BELOW. Thanks!

Do any of you guys know if I can install the bypass valve, if I've already installed the supercharger? I removed the strut brace, hoping to give me a little more room. Mounting it is not the issue. The issue is trying to connect the arm from the bypass valve, to the arm from the supercharger (if that makes sense).

There is a nut on the end of arm (from the supercharger). Does anyone know if I can remove that...pull the arm off...connect it to the bypass valve arm while off the car...then mount it?

Just trying to avoid having to pull the blower and manifold.

Thanks!
