First, let me just go off topic and vent for a sec.

Why oh why do people always equate power (400+hp, etc., etc...) with wings???!!! Does anyone here ever watch go kart racing??? Many have less HP than your normal scooter, but they have wings. Why do people keep assocating the fact that to have good/proper aerodynmaics you "have" to have massive amounts of power? Good aerodynmics is just plain good old aerodynamics no matter how much power you got under you and no matter how big or small the object you're currently are holding on to dear life on!

Second, if you design a car with proper aerodynamics a wing is not necessary. Look at most super cars today (i.e. Ferrari's/Lambos/etc.). It's only when you don't do your proper due dilegence on design that you need to "add-on" something afterwards to compensate. Of course, I'm not referring to race cars that aspire to achieve the most downforce as humanly possible. And I know I know, these aren't supercars and we want them to be affordable. So I'll digress on this issue.

So for me, I'd just like a tasteful lip spoiler that actually does some good rather than bad. I'll even take it if it looks good and does nothing. I mean how much bad could a small lip spoilier do right? My friend is an aerospace engineer and used to work at JPL in the wind tunnels designing Star Trek sh1t and he tells me that most aero stuff on cars do more damage than "real" good.

And if you'd like the data: http://www.aprperformance.com/index....sk=view&id=183

I wouldn't mind a functional wing from the factory so long as it doesn't look like the one on the prototype. But, I'd still rather not pay for a non-adjustable wing that I may be switching out later.
Except that data like this isn't applicable at all unless the spoiler is mounted so high that its getting entirely clean air, which it won't have being behind the canopy.

Also, as shown by the bottom picture, needs moar endplate.

I'm not talking about the useless non-adjustable cosmetic wings sold from the dealer. Any car that goes over 60 mph can benefit from a properly designed and adjusted wing on the track. Depending on the angle of attack, a real wing can generate 325-500 lbs. of downforce @ 80 mph. That may not seem like a big deal on paper, but could be difference maker in a high speed sweeper or on the high banks if you race on a road course within and oval.

I hope you guys know there are spoilers designed to give downforce at low speeds. But seriously doubt that big ass spoiler is one of those low speed spoilers. but who knows..im no aerodynamic engineer.

As for me...it comes down to ..
Ducktail

TRD Trunk Extension

No Wing

I assume that all the body panels are exactly the same over the 3 models, besides the front bumper of course. If so, there will be plenty of options for parts. I'm excited

I like this kind of Spoiler just the 86 normal kind, it's not too flashy and not too subtle. Lol It's not even functional. I like Classic Duck bill too. But yup Factory stock type spoiler for me is good enough
