Guaranteed 190whp

I currently have an AFE takeda intake and Perrin lightweight crank pulley.

Plan to put perrin headerback and either John's tune or Stage 2 Ecutek tune. And get 17 inch ENKEI lightweight racing wheels (13.1lbs per wheel)

Will guarantee a 190whp.

AFE takeda intake - 300
crank pulley - 80
Headerback - 1500
Tune - 800

2680 bucks for a guaranteed 190whp, if not more. But then again, your halfway to a turbo kit........

Same mods as us, just better pump gas, our corn juice dominates though.

In Japan, they have 102RON, 100RON, 98RON and 95RON which are respectively 97 AKI, 95 AKI, 93AKI, 91AKI. So the higher the octane rating, the more power they can be extracted if the engine is suited for the higher octanes.

So the Japanese Spec Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ's engines run on a MINIMUM 98RON (93AKI). Same as here in Australia, our Australian spec 86/BRZ are the same as Japanese Spec, except very slightly less tuned. Because we dont have 102RON fuel, we only have 100RON (at certain servos), 98 RON, 95 RON and 91RON.

I have yet to play with e85. I was behind a cop this morning with a FlexFuel emblem and I started smelling what literally smelled like burnt popcorn. I wasn't expecting that. Is that normal, or was he just pig ass rich on the tune? (oops accidental pun haha)

Not sure if burnt popcorn smell is normal for E85, but on my car, it's a kinda sweet-ish smell.. similar to coolant. I've never really smelt it from the exhaust though.. I have a breather filter on the hose that used to go into the intake pipe, so the smell comes through from the engine bay alittle.. mostly when I first start up the car.

I hate to be rude but where are you in Maryland that you can't get E85? There's a dozen E85 pumps in your itty bitty state.

Have you tried this map?

Yes. It can smell like someone is cooking french fries, popcorn, or even vegetable(it's corn!) oil.

What's the matter rich kid? E85 pump is 2 miles away and that's too far? Try 20 miles one way.

What does E85 go for out there? It should be almost a dollar less than Premium this time of year.
