Any more updates on this setup? Been doing lots of research on different kits and I am overall very interested in this kit. Noticed you added the optional 5858 precision dbb. With this turbo, how hard would it be to achieve 425whp on 93 octane? Also, how well do the stock clutches hold up?

Hey there, well the stock clutch is good for around the 270-80whp thats why most of the basic kits are offering that power, there have been a few that have run 300+ish but they dont last long. There is a guy here in Perth that burnt the stock clutch with the stock car, he was letting alot of rubber off on quite a few occasions.
The fuel also gets a bit sad around the 280 mark from what i have read most 93 kits or ""98"<Australia calls it" have not really been able to achive much above the 300 mark.... Please feel free to correct me if i am wrong.... I too would love a 400+ monster that was on standard fuel when i turbo i will be looking into duel fuel with a custom surge tank in my boot for E85 I like the look of this kit because being a boilermaker by trade the welds actually look like they join the 2 bits of metal together unlike all the other kits i have seen. Nice to know that u guys can actually weld!!!...... Very impressed Neat looking kit but i think that i cant have this one as i will need it to be compatible with a RHD car, i hope to all hell that they have some kind of war around this problem because when i turbo in a few months i really would buy this one..................... Hopeing for a responce here guys... cheers

^^^Thank you very much! I would say your statements are pretty accurate. I would do a clutch with anything over 250-275whp due to it only being a matter of time before the stock one begins to slip. I also agreed with 300ish pretty much being a comfortable stopping point on 93oct and stock internals.
Unfortunately it would be extremely difficult to get a car in house to even try and make or kit RHD compatible and the modifications themselves might require changing the majority of the kit it self in reality. |
