Someone needs to make a rear bumper that suits single exits. Badly.

Agreed. Dead weight, unnecessary bends and higher cost of twin exits is a tough one to justify other than aesthetics.

Sometimes I see people write about bends, larger resonators and mufflers in the exhaust, and I think some don't understand how this works.

As a rule of thumb and general saying, yes a straight through pipe would provide the best gains. BUT it's not that simple. you have to consider sound and resonance when designing a proper exhaust.

For example (just a general example), the difference between a straight through pipe and a pipe with bends might be 1-2 HP, BUT the difference in sound and elimination of resonance is incredible. Isn't the loss of 1-2 HP worth the proper and rich sound the exhaust provides?

I used to think exactly like some people, where I just wanted a straight pipe and that's it. Later on I have done my research and have understood there is way more into it than just welding pipe. I learned the hard way and hope other people can learn more about it before committing my mistakes.

because the axleback is full titanium and the catback they offer is not, and a different design.

Love the way it looks/sounds. Just a tad expensive for an axleback though. :P
