To me, being responsible for a product that is remembered well beyond it's intended lifecycle is far more gratifying than being personally famous.

One's knowledge tells more about their selves not about what they don't know.

Though not always the case:

The Senna was unveiled online by the company on 10 December 2017, with the official unveiling taking place at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

Ayrton Senna
When McLaren unveiled its new hypercar, a successor to the brand's P1, it came with a striking and iconic name – Senna. McLaren named it after Ayrton Senna, the famous Formula One driver who died tragically during a race in 1994.

So, Tada-san is just s simple face for marketing? Or he was the main influence behind 86 except akio?
All the 86 related news, he was the dude who talk about what he did for 86. Since 86 released, there were so many news, interviews, articles about 86. Tada-san was in first page always. I have never heard or seen that much of talk of any car in any decades.
What is going on then? All were fake just for marketing purpose? Or really those were true?

Not really Japanese, but want to note is Larry Shinoda (2nd gen Japanese) designer of String Ray & Mustang Boss 302 is up there on legend imo.

I'm pretty sure there are other famous engineers/designers... but that's what I can think top of my head.
Who are these people? LOL

Read the development story I linked earlier. Not a simple face but not the original mind behind the car either. He also had a team of about 20 engineers working for him so did not do it single handed.

Belda. Humfrz can probably fill in the details from his time spent with them.

Strangely enough, I share similar sentiments to this.

Also, thread title reads as if Tetsuya Tada passed away or something.

Not sure what point you're trying to make? The Senna is basically a tweaked, special edition version of the McLaren 720S...and trying to capitalize on Senna's over-marketed name. Much like other special edition versions of popular platforms, whether it's a Duc 916, or a TAG watch.

I was kinda pulling your leg there:

Your statement was implying that engineers are not as important in a specific vehicle's development as the driver's who worked within testing of that vehicle, along the way.

In the case of the McLaren Senna model, that race car driver was dead long before any thought of coming out with that vehicle.

But you have the upper hand, with lots more knowledge than myself AND maybe drivers did help with the Senna model, just not Aryton Senna.
