Picking up plates for her at the DMV now. What a way to spend lunch. DMV workers always look so angry.

If I wanted to order the XB LED angel eyes from The Retrofit Source... do you have any idea what size would work with the bulbs/plastic housing? They come in 70,80,90, and 100mm. It looks from your pictures that there's a nice little recess or ridge (can't tell which) on the housing around the bulb. Do you by chance have any idea what the diameter of that is? I should really just wait a few days so I can measure for myself... but it's so hard!

I didn't measure when they were apart but I can measure the stock projectors when I get home and that will give us a good inner diameter of the ring. Give me a few hours.

Looks like a 3" inner diameter would be about right for Halo's if that's what you're gonna do.

Are LED strips on your headlights uniform as far as brightness is concerned? They seem to be all over the place on a picture. Looks great but I would've kept it without LES strips. Great otherwise.

They are pretty consistent but could be better. The lens wraps around the bottom and is painted black from the factory so it is a very reflective surface which can make it look like there is 2 lights at certain spots. I may open them back up and set them back just a little further. Maybe 1/2" consistently from the leading edge of the reflector.

Just added a COBB Knob. It's lighter than stock and I'm undecided if I want to keep it. You can feel the notchiness a bit more with it. Looks really good though.

Put the stock knob back on. The COBB is lighter than stock and really accentuates the notchy feel of the shifter. I think a Flossy Heavy knob may be the answer.

Would it be possible to get a high res shot of either headlight in the sunlight? Like maybe 30 deg off to the side, normal standing height? I'm really stuck on if I want to black out mine or not (ultramarine) but will be curious how it looks on red as well.

Something like this, but where the headlight detail is good: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/64402414/chimera1.jpg

I will get one later this weekend for you. The black looks really good how I did it. The adhesive I used for the LEDs is failing in a few spots so bumper and lights coming back off the car tomorrow morning. Don't know why it failed but if I can't make sure they will permanently stick tomorrow then they will be deleted.

Ready to be opened up for the 3rd time. I need to find adhesive that will work for the LED's. It's gonna be perfect or it's not gonna be at all!
