I don't see how it could effect oil temps that much on a stock setup, but for those of us running the Jackson Racing oil cooler/rad combo it'll be bitchin'.

We do not recommend you remove your oil cooler.
We do not use one and have not used an oil cooler since October 2015. Please see latest video with AMB/ACE aero kit on our youtube channel. It's not the easiest to see the oil and water temp guages but the information is there. This scoop has been paired with the Jackson Racing oil cooler/radiator and it works very well we've been told. We are drawing the line at showing all our data to confirm everything. We just don't have the staff to do this for every item we have. Doesn't mean we won't ever show findings again, just not for every item. Anybody running anything built by ACE knows that if we make it, it is going to be functional and as efficient as possible. We love the feedback from everyone and look forward to the community's comments and criticism. For this $200 item, please use common sense to see it's benefits. Or, if Delicious Tuning wants to release the data logs or one of our customers that's up to them. Here's a photo of the engineers who designed this and the fields in which they work. Happy Driving, Team ACE |

I think that you need to be very careful of statements like the one in question, they need to be qualified or people will jump to the wrong conclusion like they did here. |

I am surprised to see so many people worked up about such a general statement.
I don't doubt that ace has found that in the current weather conditions that their car for its current needs doesn't need an oil cooler. It has a nice forced air pathway to the radiator that then pushes the hot air directly out the hood vent, which will greatly reduce engine bay temperatures. They may also be running shorter sessions, etc. They even said they don't recommend this as an end all fix. However, with such good forced air venting, it doesn't seem a far stretch at all to think oil temperatures could be lower. Also, I would generally think people considering this part are far enough along in their car development that they can easily monitor their oil temps to see whether or not this would eliminate the need for an oil cooler in their situation.

Thanks, it seems that I did misread that. That said, I don't have a lot of stake in this because I don't run an oil cooler at all despite attending approximately 4 track days per year...
