Why the hell does the TV need to be "smart"? My phone, my tablet, my laptop, my receiver, my Blu-ray player, and my xbox can all stream media, access hulu, Netflix, and Amazon prime, and do whatever else is necessary. The TV doesn't need to do that as well. All it needs to do is display a picture.

LG or Samsung or whoever needs to make a barebones display. It needs top quality display technology (OLED, 4K, color calibration, etc...), one or two HDMI inputs, and nothing else. No brain, no internet, no wireless or Bluetooth, no speakers. Nothing. It would probably cut the price significantly, and it would be perfect for people who have better speakers and tech packaged separately. For instance, those who have a dedicated home theater. They won't though, because they can get really excited about all these features that I'll never ever use and charge a ton more. Except I just won't buy it; I'll just buy a projector for a fraction of the price and make a screen and some curtains.
Smart TV is a marketing term. So pretty much every new TV can stream too. It adds a tiny bit to the cost. Speakers add a tiny bit more. LG does make different versions, some with more features and some with fewer, but all are "Smart" and have decent speakers, at least.

OLED 4k 55" is down to about 1800. I got my 1080p model for about 1100. At that price, I can get one now, and then move it to another room in a few years when the 80" OLED is at a bearable price.

It sure makes my girlfriend happier, that she can have air as hot as the depths of hell blowing at her, while I have a lukewarm breeze.

I concur! When she gets in, almost automatically the heated seat gets set to high!

I agree that the dual climate is probably a little over kill for a smaller car but does it really hurt? If it were a separate option then I imagine that it would be less common but I wanted the heated seats and keyless ignition.

It's going to suck to ever go back to a car with a traditional key again.

I think that traditional keys will get less and less common. Just like crank windows were standard and power were an option. In a bid to add value and gadgets to their product, push start will become more common. May take a while though.
