4500 rpms at 150km/h

4500rpm / 150km/h = 30rpm * 100 km/h = 3000 RPM for the same gear

Anyway, the exhaust is making more noise than dif.
You sir are the man!!!

How would you describe the feel of the 4.88 if you could somehow relay it in horsepower/torque feel? I am looking at trying 5.29 for my 6AT and since you have the 6MT that would mean the gearing would be somewhat similar.

I have changed many things on my car but this, this is the best for sure. 4.67 was not bad. But 4.88 is like is this really my car? Real world story: my friend has stock 86 and he drove my car last week for a while and when he get off a car with mouth wide open (keep in mind he drove my 4.67 week before) he was smiling and amazed complaining that such small engine wont survive this amount of power. I told him, the engine is making same power as before, I just transfer it more effectively to the wheels. Axles may be a different story, they may not survive and when they break, I will buy DSS.
So my best mods are: 4.88 FD (I also has 2W LSD), E85 tune, cat-les headers (Cosworth/Nameless), LW FW TRD and Perrin engine mounts. I would also recommend LW wheels and CF driveshaft (I will buy both of them next season).
I am staying N/A, I dont need supercharger/turbo anymore.
Keep in mind this is a cumulative mods experience, as listed above. Dont expect this is something comparable to turbo, but for us N/A guys it is close as you can get.
Driving experience is different. It accelerates and also decelerates faster, 1st gear is very short, 2nd is short, but I like it in my city drives. I squeeze gas pedal hard on every traffic light and lift off in time and I dont need to use brakes as before. It is fun.
Launch control is not able to launch me anymore, but it might be my winter tires.
I didnt measure it, but I am over 7000rpms on 1st in way less than a second. It is impressive inside car and with right exhaust you will love your car more.

Edit: MANUAL of course.

I'm surprised in the reaction of your passenger for a 5% increase in torque.

I didnt think it would make so much difference, but it did.
I sometimes wonder how would 5.1 go... Maybe next year.
But 4.88 is very nice balance on my city drives, I like short gears, dont mind shifting at all (actually selling Kartboy and buying CAE) and long highway trips are perfectly fine. I hear dif only above 190km/h and that is not as bad as window air leaks. I am still capable of doing 220km/h and under 200 is pretty much without effort. Noise might be improved, I have to reuse bolts and bearings, so I may not have 100% contact. Nevertheless it is perfectly fine for my driving style and windows are much more annoying.

I can smash passenger head into seat anytime I want, just go full throttle, lift and repeat

Excellent. I have to resort to punching my passengers at the moment. 😊

If you want. I wouldnt expect this from 4.5 FD, but 4.67 was close and 4.88 is really something. The hardest part is to find a skilled mechanic.

I have the 4.56 swap now and I love it. I use this car for long drives on occassion and am curious how high the rpms are when cruising with the 4.88?
