1320Performance UEL Catless Header - Partial Review

So this is a partial review of the 1320 Header, as I do not have access to a dyno to test the true 'performance' of this header.

Let's start with price.

For $349, this makes it one of the cheapest, if not, the cheapest header available on the market. When I picked this up today from my group buy, this is what I received.

The gaskets are grimspeeds, which I purchased externally.

Let's take a closer at the build quality.

For those of you who will ask, PLM overpipe/Berk Catted FP.

Next up, merge collector.

Honestly, looks better then a few 'high end' headers I've seen/looked into.

Here's the flanges:

and the Flex Pipe and the Welds:

So it looks pretty good, but how about the install?

My car hit 2500 miles today, has seen one rain, and therefore, I used no PB blaster - however, 5k+, make sure you soak you exhaust bolts. Incase you wondered what 2500 miles looks like without the stock header on,

Pretty straight forward install. The runners are ran close together and since it's UEL, they run over top two of the bolts, center bolt on each mount.

Driver side,

Passenger side,

......

And installed!

Overall, I'm highly satisfied with the results of this header and would recommend it without any performance based results.

If anyone in the DMV area has a dyno that can run it for science, let me know!

I need to do a proper exhaust video, but I'm sure people want to hear it... So.

1320Header, PLM Overpipe, Berked Catted FP, Invidia N1, Moto-East stage 2 93 Oct Tune
And the rattle you hear in this video is a leak against the block..
https://instagram.com/p/8jsg0nxImV/

Here's a small exhaust video of the 1320 UEL with an Invidia N1. Cold start/2.5K/4K/6k/turn off.

Was afraid the neighbors would kill me, so no launch control or red line. I can do those another day when I'm not at home!

[ame]http://youtu.be/1Cwev4GZGPo[/ame]

1320uel, PLM overpipe, Berk Catted Front Pipe, Invidia N1 Catback - my header has a small exhaust leak, so if you think you hear it, ignore it! Getting it swapped soon enough.'

Swapped out! Source of the leak:

Here they come! I can hear them! Everyone is suddenly a professional welder and going to compliment/critique the welds!

Looks like a nice piece, looking forward to the before and after dyno.

Lol. So far, I love it. I'm about to leave for work shortly, let's see if I can take a cold-start video without waking up the neighborhood... unlikely..

@ptuning is having a dyno day tomorrow - you may want to give them a call.

pulling the O2 sensor out of the exhaust stream with that right angled adapter seems very odd to me
I wouldn't run that if it was me
any reason why the sensor can't screw in normally?

It's a mechanical CEL eliminator. Some screw in "normally" and others have right angles and other funky angles depending on application. I have also seen them used for clearance reasons.

does that o2 sensor elbow actually work in eliminating the CEL? if it does, I'm getting this header right now lol. only reason I'm staying away from headers is because I don't want to get a tune with it at this moment.

With a tune, got a CEL. My tuner forgot to turn it off. I did not use the Supplied "cap", and hooked up both o2 sensors.

Since install, I have experienced a small exhaust leak, but am unable to pinpoint the location of such. We have since installed a second header into another car with no leak present. I am in the process of swapping out my header (1320 has pretty good customer service - and so does my group buy guy), and once I do so and reinstall the header, I will reconfirm if it was the header or my additional pieces leaking, however, that won't be until Wednesday or Thursday. 😑

Does the cell cause any issues with performance at all or just a annoyance?
