Did they (HKS) indicate a maximum tolerable pressure for their supercharger or are you simply OK to keep reducing the pulley diameter as you like?

If you keep reducing pulley size on most any supercharger you are likely to have broken parts eventually.

I believe the GTS7040L unit is rated for 110000 RPMs max. There is a graph on the HKS Japan website that allows you to determine max RPM and boost pressures for the unit. However 16 PSI sounds really high. The stock pulley is 100 mm AFAIK and my unit pushed 9 PSI (.6 bar roughly) at 7000 RPMs. I have a 90mm pulley as well but no plan to use it at this time.

I'm happy to finally be able to let the cat out of the bag. The V3 has been released!

What's the difference between the V2 and V3?

V2 - V3 differences:
Larger intercooler
Larger intercooler piping
Larger s/c inlet piping
Larger s/c pulley (reduced compressor speed compared to V2)
Lack of s/c inlet restrictor
Flash Editor calibrations (optional)

There is a V2 > V3 upgrade kit available:
#12002-KK002 "Version Up" kit includes the new piping, pulley, and belt.

As for the GT Supercharger itself:
V1 & V3 7040L Superchargers use the same 5-bolt pulleys, but the compressor sides are clocked a little differently.

V2 Superchargers are clocked like a V1, but use a single bolt pulley which is unique to the V2 7040L.

What RPM is the V3 unit spinning at now? (such as stock redline). And what is the actual pulley size or part number? I am curious as to how much headroom is left for higher power output setups. =)

A lot of people overlook this kit when it actually has a fairly competitive price compared to other units on the market. I wish a local would buy one so that I could play with one on the dyno and see what I can squeeze out of it on E85!

Thanks. Now it's all clear.

What is the retail price for #12002-KK002?

I'm waiting for a replacement blower for my V2 and most likely I will get the blower from V3 as you returned to the original V1 design (what's the official explanation for that move by the way? ) and don't produce the flawed V2 any more. So, I'll have to buy a new pulley anyway

I too am still waiting for a replacement, in this case for a V1 blower. So, I'll be using the pulley from the V1 unit I had which I measured at 100mm.
I am curious if thats the same diameter as the V3 pulley. I'm already tuned for a restrictor delete, thats good, but not sure about the compressor side being clocked differently.

Hoping its the same ratio as the V1 so I wont have to recalibrate my tune.
