BTW: Will stop by Costco on Friday and bring up some hot dogs. If anyone wants to pitch in, <$5 each for food, I will probably have around max 2 dozen hot dogs. Or bring whatever else you want to contribute to grill. Can also heat up soups if you bring a pot. It's a small indoor propane grill. -alex Last edited by mav1178; 12-24-2014 at 11:36 PM. |

For Bay Area peeps, did we pick a spot to meet up in the morning? @BRZkitty and I were talking about maybe this spot (it's near the McD's we met up at last time)
Bernal Bagels & Donuts 7064 Santa Teresa Blvd, San Jose, CA 95139 meet at 6 and roll out from there by say 6:15AM? that should get us to Salinas in an hour and enough time to make a quick stop for gas/supplies at the Blanco Shell at approx 7:15AM. Shell gas & Nob Hill supermarket 1300 South Main Street Salinas, CA 93901 Quote:

I've heard the exact same discussion of turn 2 at Thunderhill. When you're behind somebody and double apex while they take the single apex, you can push them wide so they slow down and you pass. There is also time to distance and speed carried out of the corner. If you exit with a little less speed because you double-apexed, you don't exactly have a lot of straight at either track before the next corner. At Thunderhill, I've used turn 2 to catch up to people with clearly faster cars.
Try it both ways! Quote:

I am most likely out for tomorrow. For those of you who are friends with me on Facebook, you guys probably saw that I am fostering a stray puppy. I doubt that I'll be able to find someone that would be able to watch her the whole day.

And that is exactly what I have heard, slightly faster vs. protected line. In capable hands, there shouldn't be very much difference between the two, but, given no traffic I would expect the single apex to be a tiny bit faster.
