@Drift&Drag I think *any* trans with the engine pushed back against the firewall will need that u-brace removed. the damn thing is only 6" wide, good luck finding anything that fits through that.

As far as your downpipe clearance concern, it depends which exhaust manifold you go with. Are you going with the twin scroll PHR manifold as well? Some of the traditional manifolds may work. |

@Drift&Drag stock vvti 1jz single for now with an ace up motorsports downpipe which is for mx83 cressida and s13/14 swaps looks like it fits perfect, if I go big single I guess I'll have to get either the ebay manifolds designed for the JZX100 chaser, the ones for s13/14 swaps, or have a custom twinscroll piece made.

I'll take a pic when I get home today. I haven't test fit the wastegates on yet, but I'm fairly sure there's enough for those plus anything up to 5'' or so. But stay tuned! |

Amazing, I'm loving the amount of 2JZ swaps that are beginning to pop up in the 86 chassis!

Some awareness on how much room there is in this bay.
Wastegate/exhaust, plenty Turbo/manifold, move my fusebox and I can fit virtually any size turbo on this PHR S45 manifold. Intake, only small issues are aft side of fuel rail. Engine will probably be moved up another half inch or so and that should account for heater hoses as well. Forward. Sits 1.5in above current radiator mount. Might mod it for more clearance but it's good currently. The vertical brace that runs between both the radiator support on the bottom and the hood latch area needs to be cut off, braced otherwise. |

Yep, it's the best part of it having previously been a Boxer...... Gobs of room. I really need to sit down and put together my build thread too for the LSx swap. Keep it going! you are making awesome progress.

Some more parts ordered, but mainly for removing broken oil sensors. I used the incorrect torque wrench (20ft/lbs at lowest setting) to install the oil pressure sensor. Thought I'd be able to feel when it was good to go. That little bastard broke off. Ordered some screw extractors and another appropriate torque wrench for these lower torque setting items. Lesson learned, hopefully I can extract it with no issues cause I *really* don't want to pull the motor apart again. Oh well, I guess it could be worse?
Black Friday can't come soon enough, though. Need to buy my ProEFI and RPS Triple. |

Got that bitch, that could have been bad.
And my Chase Bays harness came in. I ordered a FullBlown return-style 485 E85 pump kit. If anyone has an M85 IS300 differential for sale, let me know, I would like to buy one! Also ordered N/A water pipe and some other odds and ends. Should be here relatively soon. |

ProEFI setup came in today.
Also waiting for my ProEFI color CAN logger display, Clutchmasters FX850 twin disc clutch setup, and I also found an M85 IS300 diff for a good price in great condition. They'll all be going in the car by next week. Aiming to have first start-up before Christmas. Will be mainly waiting on driveshaft and some fab work. Props to Induction Performance and Powerhouse Racing for all their help! Last edited by slicktop; 11-15-2014 at 08:27 PM. Reason: derp |
