There are a small group that say it eventfully goes away but I wouldn't hold your breath. In no way affects the performance or reliability

Modest numbers are 80% of vehicles rolling off the assembly line have this issue after 800 - 1200 miles.

Bought my 2014 in May 14' with 6 miles on it. After 1100 miles it started to chirp. Took it in and had the dealership replace the High Pressure Fuel Pump and it was quiet for another 300 miles and started doing it again. While it was a the dealership they hit my bumper on the wash rack after I told them not to wash the damned car. So all it did was create more problems with no solution. Oh and they denied they damaged the car, told me literally to go somewhere else if I have an issue with it.

I've actually become quite fond of my little underhood cricket. The idea of replacing it is getting harder and harder, because i know that if it does go away, i'll miss it...

Mine was made in May 2014, bought Aug 2 has 3989 miles on it (OH GOD that is almost a 1000 miles a WEEK) and remains bug free. If (when?) it does start I will just ignore it until it goes away again.

Don't waste your time with the dealership getting the fuel pump replaced, you'll just be wasting your time and SOA's money.

Really I don't know why they keep replacing the fuel pump on people's cars when it doesn't work. I just heard somewhere that the fuel pump costs over $1000 from the parts counter.

This is more or less the information I was seeking about the issue. It really doesn't bother me that much. I knew almost everything about it, as I had researched the issue before purchasing. I wasn't sure if it was worth it or not I guess is basically what I was getting at. I appreciate it. And yes, it's jsut over 1000$ for the part ( http://www.midatlantictoyotaparts.co...ical-fuel-pump ) nuts to keep replacing them.

Looks like you got TRD spoiler, JDM clear side markers, and some aftermarket exhaust (tips?) too. Tasteful mods. Congrats!

Glad you have a good eye, lol! I knew about the spoiler but I honestly didn't recognize the side markers, and I'll have to look into the exhaust! I knew I had an instinctive eye even for a n00b

That feel when you don't really know what you've got, but it turns out awesome.
