Got my FR-S today!!(N00b)

Hello fellow enthusiasts, today I have made the purchase( 2013 with 12k miles ). It's time to get real! Everything's great on it so far, aside from the chirp( didn't notice until I got back from the 60-70 mile drive home as the test drive didn't cause any chirping ). Researched this though before buying. I understand it's covered under warranty so shouldn't be a problem.
However, I've never had to use a warranty before. I have aftermarket wheels on it, this doesn't nullify the warranty or anything does it? What kind of information will I need? Any help advice is appreciated. Glad to be here, and glad to start postin'!
(Trolls welcome probably deserve it a little )

Congrats man! You're starting an epic journey haha. Chirping probably won't go away, ever. But it's alright. Worth it. This forum is filled with all kinds of great info. Just search before you post to not get yelled at haha.

Chirping hasn't been eradicated yet. Don't lose any sleep over it. Enjoy the car

Congrats on your purchase! What sort of plans do you have for your FR-S? As for the chirping, just turn up the music as it will not go away and any 'fixes' are temporary at best.

My cat doesn't have the chirp. Touch wood. I wonder what the percentage are between chirp cars and non chirp cars.

Haven't heard a peep out of mine either. Feel left out and am starting to worry that something is wrong!

Congrats! Many fun miles to come.

My first suggestion for modding would be to think about what your goals are, as that will affect your mod path.

For example:

- Goal: Want more midrange torque for the street. Look into turbo kit or phantom ESC

or

- Goal: Want to do track days. Look into brake pads, fluid, camber bolts, tires, etc.

or

- Goal: Want that classic Subaru uneven exhaust rumble. Look into UEL header.

After you figure out your goal(s), browse around the member pages and see what mods will get you there. Start writing them down, along with associated costs, and you can have an idea of how much money and time it will take to get there.

Once you've mapped that out, start saving and purchasing. Most importantly, have fun!

And make sure the pics don't have "stock photo" embedded across them.
You bought the right car!

Okay this is what I need to know. The warranty sheets I saw on the forum were somewhat dated. So I'm guessing guys brought'em in and they replaced it and it still hasn't fixed the issue. I'm not really terribly worried about it, car's too much fun to get caught up on it. Thanks for the info, know not to waste my time fooling with bringing it in.

Will try to get some good pics this weekend. has Enkei EV5s on it which I may be changing, but haven't decided yet. Other than that, there's the tint and that's really the only mods. I can foresee spending loads of money already lol.
