In OFM, when I try to import the new BIN, I get these three pop ups in sequence:

So end result is, no adding of the map to OFM possible. Pretty frustrating.
Are you using windows 8 if so have you loaded the windows 8 patch from the openflash site, that might be the problem

No, Win7 as a VM on a mac, pretty sure the VM wouldnt be a problem as I am sure Shiv uses a similar setup.

Can you download the ots 1.59 maps and see if they load correctly?

+1on what @Wayno said above trying 1.59 maps from openflash.

only other thing i can think of is delete all the tunes in the 5 slots and delete the .dev data file as your oft probably came preloaded with .dev database tunes and your now trying to load .bin tunes, you cannot mix the two, its one type or the other.

I'm currently running 1.59 stage 1 OTS tune in the car. The OFT straight out of the box didn't want to play nicely with my ECU – it wouldn't recognise the preloaded dev tunes whatsoever.... ie, the OFT when initially plugged to my ECU (after connecting online to DL the latest firmware, then reading the OEM tune, etc) decided there were no Shiv tunes on it at all.

Only way round that: to load up the OTS BIN tunes dowloaded from the website (Thanks to Dean's advice on that one). So I have gone through manual adding of tunes to the OFT, worked fine with Shiv's files, and they upload to the car no worries.

I'm back to square one though – there is something about these 'aussie' tunes which is either corrupted or some other techical problem to do with the checksum. Unfortunately I don't know enough about software in this context or on this platform to make any further educated guesses.

Admittedly, I haven't tried opening the page 1 98RON G tune and copy/pasting the ignition values and saving as a new file... but I would like to solve the mystery of why only my checksum errors seem unsolvable, seems like a good technical skill to acquire...

While we're at it, here's a quick and not all that ideal log file: Is there enough knocking here need the Oz 98RON spec tunes?

When does the error occur? When you open the file in RR? If so, that's normal and doesn't affect the OFT as it does the Checksum correction for you.

Looks like it would benefit cannot see the knock in that log but your IAM started at 0.81 and is recovering towards 1 so their was some knock previous to log.

Do you know what your stock ROM CALID is ? the OFT needs to see roms of same calid or it wont load if your car is quite new it may have an A02I or D00I rom, if you have loaded a tuned ROM from openflash you will inherit its calid which may not be same as the stock ROM.

Just post up your stock ROM and I will be able to tell you. shiv caters for 700I A00I and A01I.

Look like knock is ok as IAM=1 but better if you log as below.

your long term fuel trims look a high do you have aftermarket intake ?

Do a run in 3rd gear from 2000 to redline full throttle

Also remove the VVT exhaust and VVT intake log paramaters and put in FLKC and Knock Correction(FBKC) instead , then post that up

haha missed that run

yes looking at kc learned their are a few chunky bits indicating knock, much easier to see if you log fbkc knock correction and flkc fine learning knock correction.

i woul load up my 98RON map from first post if you have a manual G rom or @Wayno has done the changes for auto, those maps from first post in thread will go a long way to getting rid of that knock ,

Curious: is Australian 98-100ron fuel the same as the UK octane rating?

Over here the highest octane rating available is 99ron from tesco.

Thanks Steve have been trying to load that map but still learning how to do it have the manual . Do I just delete one of the other maps off the OFT and then load into the spare slot ?
