Really? Do you know why? I mean, I have only been on a 20min test drive with a monogram, and haven't sat in a base model. But yeah, I would only use heated seats should I go to montana or something for an exchange program. We have a permanent 70-80F temp range; good for most things, but no snow

And leather/alcantara is different material, which means it stretches and feels differently.

I'm just repeating what people who own base FR-Ss and have sat in my car said. I have some Sparcos I saved to throw in here, but they're pretty nice over long cross-Texas road trips and I think that's where the difference comes in - sitting in the seats for long periods of time.

Ahhh...well then, my last car had leather seats so I can understand how it feels a little different (especially when it gets hot!).

USA got the full color palette.
In Canada we got a choice of red, black and white.

Whiteout is the best color IMO and I think it makes the car look the classiest. They have discontinued Whiteout after the 2014 model year.

I find the new Halo white looks flat. Just like the majority of white cars.

Whiteout FTW!

I was personally torn between the 10 Series in silver and the Monogram, and as time went on it was 2014 Monogram vs. waiting another month or two and getting a base model 2015.

I eventually went with one of the last 2014 Monograms knowing that there wouldn't be one for the 2015 model year (at least, not yet, who knows what we'll see after the Release Series comes and goes).

I don't regret a thing, even as 2015s have now started to hit the lot. The upgraded features on the Monogram are awesome and I didn't have to wait any longer.

(those larger 2015 exhaust tips are nice though!)

I'm with you - I would rather have a 2014 Monogram over a '14 10 series, a '15 base, or a '15 release series. OR a BRZ anything, any year, because I like the "fit and finish" on the FR-S better.

Push come to shove, and I cannot get a 2014 monogram, I will go for a 2014/15 BRZL maybe. I dunno. I would hate to compromise on a car I am going to have for a long time.

You do realize all of these vehicles are made together in the same factory on the same production line by the same workers, right?

Yes sir, I do.

However, if you notice I was not referring to any performance aspect, and instead the "fit and finish" - the lack of the BRZ's "mouthguard" on the FRS, the style of OEM headlights, the silver trim pieces on the "side vents" (BRZ has faux vent, FRS has boxer emblem), the fender fangs, the fog lights, interior trim (like silver handle pieces, red striping, ect.). I could go on, but I don't feel the need.

I realize these are minor cosmetic differences, but when I am paying for a big-ticket item, I want it exactly how I want it, and do not want to compromise any more than I have too. You don't have to share my opinion, but it is mine regardless.

You seem to be using a different definition of "fit and finish".

Yeah, that could be a source of confusion. Regardless, I apologize for any miscommunication, and what I meant is above

Hate to bring up an old thread, but I figured it's better than making a whole new thread about the same thing.

Does anyone have any official news if Toyota/Scion is releasing a Monogram Series for 2015? I work at my local dealership and a salesman and so far, they said they haven't heard any word, let alone a model number to research with. I was wondering if someone further up the chain happens to be on here and knows what's going on. I really want one and I hate having to arrange shipping from clear across the country for the specific color I want that's available.

You should know before we do!
Nothing formal released.
But... you just opened a door for a flood of totally unsubstantiated speculation, theory and opinion!

It's a pretty safe bet that there will be some type of special limited release again in the 2016 model year.
