Ya, lots of dirt roads this past weekend, plus a little bit of rain, and everything gets the red clay treatment! It's now washing off the struts and onto the barrel of the wheel behind the spokes - very noticable unfortunately.

If I could find a cheap BRZ/FRS that wasn't half wrecked, this would be a reality.

It's clearing currently - just not sure by how much - at least several mm. I slid a thick paper card in there and wiggled it in and out and it seems to have several mm gap. I need to get a better angle with the photo as the lense on the iPhone from the photo direction (from the rear) would work better on passenger side to be more in line. What's a recommended clearance in your opinion?

I had +42 17x9 rota grids and it does clear with no spacer and when the wheels are strait, but go drive around a parking lot at full lock both directions like a race car. Then look at the inner lips of the wheel, then PM me about the 5mm spacers you need that I happen to have left over.

It'll be the tire that'll rub, correct? I believe the spring perch is a bit above the 17" rim. I'll investigate with some speedy parking lot turns.

The dw tires must run wider compared to other tires.. I have 17x9 et45 with 245/40 hankook evo v12s and I have slightly more clearance more clearance and I'm at -.5 degree of camber in the front which is as much as the oem bolts will slip to. I am considering getting some 3mm spacers just to be safe.

A couple more clearance pics. Ignor the rubbed off dirt - it's from me feeling around, not the tire.

Wow ... if you aren't going to change out your coils/springs ... maybe a couple 5 mm spacers to get some more clearance?? I wouldn't be comfortable with that small amount of space.

Can someone help me out please?

I can't seem to get an answer this but I have 17x9 +42 rota grids getting tires next week. In a month I'll purchase BC Coilovers. Will I need spacers? or should I be good to go? I'm not sure what tire size to run without issues. Hopefully I can get an answer

You won't have any issues. Common tire widths would be 245/35-255/35. If you are still N/A then the 245's will probably suit you better.
