Thanks everyone! Don't hesitate to PM me if you need more info or you just want to chat about the wheel

And great find @Sbeezy! Those buttons kinda resemble the EVOX wheel controls with the square buttons. Would be cool to have the audio controls for sure!

Thanks again,
Rick

Just installed one of these in our FR-S. This steering wheel feels amazing! The quality of the Prova wheel is impressive. I agree with Rick, it definitely makes driving more enjoyable.

Thanks RallySport Direct!

Thanks Aaron and glad you are enjoying the steering wheel! Some of my favorite mods are the ones you touch everyday! I actually bought the TRD steering wheel for my personal car as I wanted a more OEM look, but the Prova feels better to me for sure. I will probably switch over to the Prova later down the road.

Thanks again Aaron and let us know if we can help you with anything else!

Rick

Just got finished changing my wheel. It took about 30 min. and I took out the 2 - 7.5 amp fuses but left the battery cables connected. Had my i-pad in the passenger seat with this DIY on for reference. It was not difficult at all but would have been a chore if I did not have your instructions.

How's the wheel feeling! Take some pics, I've got smallish hands hah!

I actually installed a TRD wheel but these instructions made an easy go of it. I posted pics on #6301 in thread "WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR FRS TODAY?".

I am not sure if I didn't drink my ensure today or what but I am pulling with all my might on the steering wheel to a point where I am getting blisters and i even tried body hugging the wheel and pulling it and its still not coming out. Granted Im not a small fry by any means. deadlift 450 and weigh 260lbs LOL.

Not sure what I am doing wrong haha. Airbag is out nut is like 80% off and the steering wheel is locked in place so I don't turn it by accident (does that affect pulling it off?)

big thanks to @RallySportDirect

I talked to nick and he gave me the suggestion of nudging it from side to side and it came out in like 10 seconds. DO NOT pull 100% directly lol. Definitely do it from side to side and that will work the best.

Thanks again!

I have the Cusco carbon wheel and love it.

As a warning to those out there: when removing the steering wheel, make sure you are careful not to pull out that set of wires (also called a clock spring) out of its spindle. Doing so will cause a world of electronic hurt. You will lose your horn, air bag, cruise control, ABS, and TCS. Plus it's roughly $500 to replace the two parts needed if you do damage it (even more $$ if you have an FRS).

So when removing the steering wheel, just be careful not to have the wires get caught on something.
