Why no water? Have you tried both? I've heard evo guys say they make less power with pure meth (not sure if that's true). Just curious.

I trust my tuner. Trust is an important thing. I asked him about it. He told me unnecessary. Pure meth will cool the intake charge and it can be tuned to make power (which it has).

Besides, not being ignorant but I prefer to only have fuel/air in my combustion chamber. Nothing wrong with getting steam cleaned though.

The 50/50 is mainly to make the liquid inflammable. It is a safety measure. I would run 100% meth if I didn't worry about catching myself/my car on fire in a colission/crash/leak etc. There is already one flammable liquid on board (whose containment vessel and lines are ultra engineered to not fail)...don't need another.

I've talked to several tuners and they all laugh at pure water injection. It doesn't make power. Need the meth.

that's exactly why i won't run meth. well, that and the fact that having to refill it all the time sucks. the water solves the first issue, but not the second.

Although I acknowledge your viewpoint on the water mix for safety, we are only talking about a gallon here (most of the time not full) towards the front corner of the trunk. There are greater risks in life. Hell, modding anything is a risk. Besides, I see people running around all the time with red gasoline containers strapped to a hitch platform on the outside.

Regarding having to fill it all the time, not necessarily true. I have heard a gallon can go a few months on a street car. I'm not WOT 24/7.

Let's worry more about that HPFP under our hoods.

3 gal of pure meth in my trunk worries me. =)

For a HPDE track day and my flow rate, I need ~7 gals for the whole day...hence the 3 gal reservoir.

You can always get a thick steel containment box built to house the plastic tank. Would be a fun project for a skilled welder. I've thought about this, just not priority right now. Also, you can maybe bring a 5 gal drum with you to track?

I do bring one already. The 3 gal reservoir only lasts me 2-3 sessions. A 1 gal wouldn't last 1 session. With the sloshing around and G-forces, you want the reservoir to be as full as possible too, otherwise the pickup gets uncovered and you start injecting air...

What flow rate are you using (what nozzle)?

You could always upgrade to a 5 gal tank:

I will be upgrading mine at some point from the 1 gal I have now. I won't do it until I build a steel containment box for it though.

Not sure on the flow rate. I'm using this kit:

It was installed and tuned at PRE racing.

Turning up the dyno, lol. The dyno is just a tool for measuring gains and numbers can only really be compared to numbers on the same vehicle on the same day.
