It doesn't look like it - Dennis @ Evasive said they will most likely have to drill and weld to get a BOV in - and it will also require a recirculation kit. I'll be getting one though so I'll try to update when it all goes down.

On the bright side though, after all the turbo talk with Evasive today, I've decided to move up my installation a little sooner than expected and have already booked an appointment so look for updates on my turbo at the end of the month!

Just got back from Evasive! On the downside my living room is missing a bunch of car parts and now feels a little lonely but on the upside, my car has a full range of APR parts installed! I had been debating whether or not to get the aero before the FI or after but with 86Fest incoming, I figured now was as good a time as any to get it all on.

The complete list of goodies added today include:

APR Front Air Dam
APR Canards
APR Side Rocker Extensions
APR Rear Bumper Skirts
APR Air Ducts
APR Hosing and Brake Backing Plates

and a Seibon CF "VS" Hood for good measure!

I do plan on getting the hood painted as I'm not a fan of exposed carbon fiber (except to accent the bottom of the car). And if you're wondering about what I'm going to do with downforce for the rear - I have a Voltex Type 2 (1600mm) wing incoming as well. (Although it's not slated to arrive until Dec. T_T)

One note on the brake duct hosing setup: I was fortunate that Evasive knew that I had a Greddy turbo kit incoming. The APR installation recommendation for the hose routing would've taken the hose around the washer fluid bottle (which sits behind the bumper on the driver's side) and up into the engine bay. The problem is it would've been right next to where the Greddy turbo would sit so after a quick explanation, Evasive recommended removing the washer fluid bottle and just running the hosing straight from the hosing to the brake backing plate. This is fine for me in California but if any of you are thinking of running a similar setup this might be something to consider...

Next up - Turbo time!

I'll see you there Ted. I'll only be participating in the autox portion and not 86 Challenge. Maybe I can go for a ride in the car with you during a session?

Thanks for the ride! I see what proper suspension tuning gets you. The car felt really neutral/predictable unlike my own. BTW I think that vibration on the oval was more than likely the chin spoiler causing a bit of turbulence.

You SoCal guys should try to make it out to Spring Mountain Oct. 5-6th with Speedventures! I know I'll be running the saturday but hoping to do both days.

It was my pleasure and glad you liked it! Your diagnosis is spot on as well - I let another really fast SoCal driver take my car out in the last session and he gave me almost identical feedback so it's a huge relief for me that it wasn't unbalanced wheels or worse >.<

Regarding the suspension tuning, I really can't take credit for that! I just pick the parts I think I'll like and the super smart folks @Evasive Motorsports put them together, @robispec fine tune them based on my track experience feedback and @CounterSpace Garage dial in the damper settings that would be near optimal while giving me advice on how to also become a better driver. The folks at all three institutions give me so much insight on the many facets of tracking cars that I can start seeing the bigger picture of where I should be with my driving. I can't recommend all three enough!

And as for Spring Mountain that sounds super tempting! I've never been and I've always wanted to go. I'll see what I have on my calendar for those dates, but I think I might take you up on that offer!

Great seeing you again!

Crap, Ted. Every time I check into your build thread, you've done 10 more things to your car! Your build is turning out incredible.

We have 3 86s in my group going to Spring Mountain (both days). Hopefully you can make it out...

LOL thanks I might've gone a little overboard in the last month but I think my modding is almost done... Just need to install the turbo kit (with fuel pump, 700cc injectors, upgraded clutch and a boost controller), wait for the wing I ordered to come in (I decided to go with a Voltex Type 2 wing) and get the car painted or wrapped. Then it's mostly just shakedowns and fine tuning and replacing consumables.

Until the engine blows up... then things might get serious

And I didn't know you were going to Spring Mountain too! Hopefully I can make it!

Your BRZ is ridiculously awesome, Ted. Wish I could have made it to 86fest to see it in person.
