2016 NWR-SCCA Event List

Hey everyone I know I've talked to a lot of you at meets about this and we're about to start a new season so I wanted to give you all the full list of NWR-SCCA events happening in Washington this season. If you have any questions about autocross at all feel free to PM me on here.

I'm going to try to get another 86 day thing going for everyone this year so stay tuned as we work through the details of that. Unfortunately there's no open practice at Emerald Downs like there was last year but I may have some information for you all with regards to a different club at Emerald Downs.

I highly recommend the Novice School on the 21st for anyone who just wants to give autocross (or any competitive racing) a try. You get one-on-one instruction, between 8-12 runs at a 50-70 second course, a free lunch, and a free entry ($30 value) to any NWR-SCCA local event for the rest of the year for only $50 or so. Most people stick around the entire weekend and enter the next day.

We offer novice, intermediate, and time only classes that are great for beginners and also have instructors available at all events. You don't need a cage or any other safety equipment beyond your standard seat belt and we also have helmets available.

question, can i do the novice school again? I have a friend who wants to co-pilot my car that's never done it before and I can always use more seat time with a seasoned driver riding shotgun.

You can do the novice school as much as you want. If you get to like 5+ years experience we'd prefer you instruct/help out instead but if you think you can benefit from instruction then definitely sign up! I'll be making a separate thread for the novice school once I get more details on it and the sign-up is open.

Medford is 3.5 hours south of me so I tend to only run the enduros and maybe one of their normal autox weekends but I try to do as many other events as possible. Happy to meet up with people around here and show them the ropes
