Race Creations

@RaceCreations

One of the worst internet transactions I've ever been a part of. For 4 weeks I've been given excuse after excuse as to why an "in stock" item has not shipped yet. When I finally brought up a refund and a credit card charge back (if needed), I was given a tracking number that didn't do anything lol. To further test my blind faith in humanity, I waited another 3 business days to see if some kind of magical internet fairy just needed to refresh an imaginary database that would cause the tracking number to work, but to no avail. I even phoned the freight company that he gave me the name of to inquire if any freight was going from X to Y and they LOL'd at me. Don't bother using this vendor, you're better off giving your money to a charity or shredding it with your lawnmower.

They operate mainly out of facebook from what I've seen. The main culprit of this operation is a guy named "Rick Howe Jr"

Stay very far away.

For what its worth, the only reason I entertained using this company is because they have side skirt extensions that I've been unable to find elsewhere.

Seems to be a trend with this company. They got eviscerated on one of the Facebook groups a little while back.

You meant the one where he sent the customer the wrong brackets for the wing and accused the customer that he "installed it wrong"?

And then a Greddy Vendor from Germany stepped up and sent the OP authentic wing mounts.

That'd be the one.

It's called google use it. You people boggle my mind (I get that you want to warn people now) but why would you ever buy something without doing any research?(Just type "name of site".com reviews and voila you have a one site that gives him terrible reviews and scamadviser type site say this site has 0 feedback and is brand new (which is suspicious at best), had you done that you would've seen that sending this guys money would be a bad idea.

Sorry for the problems you have had but hopefully you have learned something about dealing with sites (do your research, and don't be the guinea pig for the site).

Also as a former credit card fraud prevention rep, contact your card company ASAP and get dispute section and ask for a chargeback for the reasons you stated above.

Thanks? Lol. Re-read the last sentence in my post and then combine that with the notion that most credit cards have zero liability policies. At worst, I was out a little bit of time to try and get some parts I couldn't get elsewhere. It's not the end of the world lmao

The purpose of this thread was to let people know it's probably not worth the effort to deal with this guy, but seriously, outside of a personal PayPal transaction, how much risk are you seeing by dealing online??? Not much.

I wasn't saying that to be a **** (just tried to make light of the situation).

There is actually far more risk than you would suspect, credit card's have a zero liability policy but that is for fraud (meaning unauthorized transactions), disputes (which is what you have since you sent the money of your own volition are based on due diligence for the most part and although you are covered in your particular situation not every situation would be covered and a lot of disputes end in the merchant's favor).

That being said you shouldn't have an issue but the time it takes to resolve the issue may be much longer than you think (they have to at least try to contact the merchant and do some research). My point is why go through the trouble and waste time when it can be avoided with a quick search on the merchant.

Also keep in mind that you dealt with a non trustworthy individual, that person has some of you information and if he would be inclined to and had the technical skills, he could pull a lot of your information from the order and with a bit of research on your person may be able to find enough information to access your credit cards and bank accounts, he could then proceed to steal your identity... still feel there is no risk now? it can take years for identity theft issues to be resolved and even then, things can get missed and affect you without your knowledge years down the road.

I get why you gave the company a shot but I still feel that the risk outweighs the possible gains
