Clutch Recommendations
I'm looking into clutch options for the FI setup I'm putting together. I'll be runnning 10psi on the SBD kit - 275 to 300 WHP (no more than 225-250 ft-lbs) is the target.
I've looked into the heavier-duty Exedy as well as ACT clutches, but I've seen a few negative issues in regard to both on this forum. Currently it looks like the best choice will be the Exedy Stage 1. Can anyone recommend a clutch that will be suitable for my purposes, that hopefully isn't going to give me trouble? Thanks!! It all depends on how similar you want the clutch to be to the stock feel, if your alright with an aggressive clutch grab i'd go with the ACT XT

Im ok with something more aggressive as long as it's still driveable. Any thoughts on the ACT XT street disk vs the 6 puck?

The drive-ability of the 6 puck at least in my opinion is not friendly at all even with the streetlite flywheel its not an easy drive so i'd go with the Streetlite and the HD disk. Anything above that skip right over to the exedy twin disk

I've had the ACT 6 puck for several months now and it gets smoother over time. I track the car monthly and usually drive it to work a couple times per week often in slow crawl traffic. Occasionally it acts up at a stop, the clutch releases abruptly, sometimes resulting in a stall. When this happens the shift to second gear has to be forced but then no more issues after that shift.
