JDM TRD Winker "blub" (sic) ...$124?!?!?!?!

Found this gem on ebay: Seriously?!?

It saddens me that someone that drives this same great car that I have, is going to be stupid enough to buy this...

I can't wait for the JDM oil filler caps that say FR-S. It's so JDM it doesn't need the Japanese name!

JDM = Japan Domestic Market.

It is just as big here as SpoCom is in Japan. Basically it always comes down to people wanting what they don't have. "I've got an STi wing but I want it wingless."

I ordered these same bulbs for 18 bucks. But because this is a TRD part it will cost you an extra 70 bucks.

Anytime a Mfr puts their name on something they have to charge a premium. Like a 400 dollar STi strut bar.

The bulbs are pretty cool though. They stay chrome until fire off and then they blink amber. It's kinda the same bulbs Mitsu has been using in the Eclipse for years now.

Does TRD really not know how to spell "bulb"?

I'm 99% sure the only thing "TRD" about this ad is the photoshopped logo on the blister pack. No way this is really made/packaged by Toyota.

As Thermobox put it, there is an air of superiority for parts from Japan. While this is the case in some instances, companies tend to take advantage of an unknowing public by labeling "lesser" products as such.
