I just traded in my 2013 for a 2015 and immediately noticed that the driver lumbar seat area is much firmer to the point where it is causing some significant back pain. Does anyone know if this is an official change (adding more lumbar support) or will it just take time to work in the new seat to where it is the same as the 13?

.... Or maybe it is because they are new seats VS 2 year old worn out seat.....

that's what I was thinking but I really don't remember the 13's seats being this uncomfortable.

I do know what you mean though, my passanger seat is a little firmer.

Lease was up. Dealer offered me same monthly payment with nothing down on a '15. I wanted to get a BRZ but subaru dealer wanted $150 more per month with $3500 down. Another FRS for me.

During a little back to back trial I did a year ago I drove a 13 a 14 and a 15 in quick succession. The 13 was used with a few thousand miles on it but my 14 and the 15 were brand new. I really didn't notice any difference between the 3 at all.
Maybe just need some more adjustment?

Interesting. My '15 has the most comfortable seats of any car I've ever owned. A couple of Porsche owning friends have even commented on how nice they feel, wanting to know if they are stock or after-market.

The 2016 BRZ outside has the same seats as my 2013 BRZ parked next to it.

@SpaceCadet I've owned a 2013 whiteout, 10 Series, and now the RS 1.0 and the seats feel the same other than the seat material used on the RS 1.0.

Someone with better google-fu than me please link the thread with the user claiming that the Japanese cars had nicer leather on the steering wheels.

Edit: yada yada possible yada material change yada under the radar update mid production cycle update yada yada new processes yada yada they had the skinny qc tech verify that seat and the fat qc tech verify the other seat yada yada
