Polycarbonate lenses, but very strong; the lights themselves are pretty high quality, at least in look and feel. I just put a set in my car, although I got the clear ones instead of yellow. The bezels fit a little looser than the stock bezels, and I like the look of the gloss black even less than I thought I was going to like it, but I'm sure they'll get less glossy after a few thousand miles of road grit. If not, I might just take some scotchbrite or very fine sandpaper to them and make'em matte myself. The bezels fit fine, though; plenty secure.
A word on the spring steel "U-clips" or whatever they're called that placed over the mounting holes in the bumper to accept the two screws for each light. The few youboob install videos I saw show folks installing them wrong, then complaining that they don't fit. They don't press in from the side; if you look at the clips, you'll see a cut out in the middle of the folded part. You'll also see a protrusion on the bumper (facing up on the top screw, and down on the bottom screw) that extends into that space to lock the clip in exactly the right spot. It takes a little coercion to get the clips on, but once you have'em in the right spot they're plenty secure and the screws line up great. The harness is of decent quality, but as noted many other places, there are NO directions. On the other hand, it's pretty hard to screw up. The only problem so far is figuring out where exactly to connect the switch power wire. Although I have the harness routed and zip-tied into place, I haven't made any of the actual connections yet; I want to attach the switch power wire to the same connection that powers the low beams so the fogs only work when the low beams are activated, as fog lights are supposed to work. No one seems to be able to pinpoint that yet. If I'm the first, I'll let everyone else know. Yes, I'm happy w/ the quality, and the price is more than right. I wish the bezels were matte instead of gloss, and of higher quality like the OEM bezels, but that's my only gripe. Hope that helps. Barry Last edited by MuseChaser; 11-10-2015 at 10:30 PM. |
