Road Rage Stories

So today I was on the highway minding my own business going maybe 5 miles over the speed limit. I start speeding up to get on the highway when out of no wherever some jack ass in an Accord comes up around me at about 90 miles per hour and cuts me off. As if that weren't bad enough this guy stomps on his brakes undoubtedly causing me to have to swerve at a split second to avoid hitting him. When I attempt to speed up and go around him he cuts me off again.

At this point I way beyond angry, I didn't give him the pleasure of displaying my emotion though such as flipping him off. I just slowed down and let him drive off. What I can't fathom is how this guy even felt compelled to act so insane when unprovoked.

Well that's my story. I have been driving for about ten years and I can't remember a time when I felt more upset when driving. Maybe this guy had a death wish or maybe he wanted something else

Anywhore let's here some of those road rage stories

He was driving an Accord, that is why he did it. He probably wanted you to hit him so he could get a new car

Anywhore?

Lol. Jk. I had a Round Table pizza delivery pick up cut me off, slow down, and then when I went to pass on the left, the drive just straddled both lanes. WTF?

I just reported that incident to Round Table and will let them handle the driver. Couldn't care less if that employee gets fired...can't be stupid like that if you have a driving position and are in a company vehicle representing the company. Bound to cause an accident one day.

Monday morning traffic and I'm trying to merge from the 5 north going to the 22 west. Not happening. No luck for a good half mile. Almost out of space, some douche in an Escalade won't let me accelerate ahead of him (reasonably) and has the nerve to brake so I can't also get in behind him either. The driver window down, I can see him smirking. He knows I'm about to miss the ramp. Running out of room to make the junction, I drop from 6th to 3rd. Pressure diff makes a backfire. LOUD. Sounded like an 30-06 round from under the car. This was by far the loudest backfire I've ever heard from my car. The douche must have thought it was road rage gunnery too cause he immediately ducked, braked hard and swerved right into the next lane. Thanks for making space asshole. I merged and sped away on that S-bend. Also, thanks to all the mfgs of the mods on my car for the perfectly timed SFX. I arrived to work with a

A couple boring stories..

I'm assuming most of you have seen "Christmas Vacation;" the scene where two dirtbags in a beat-up white pickup truck pass Clark et family, then tromps on the brakes forcing the Griswolds to smash on their brakes to avoid them? Well... that happened to me, at LEAST to the extent it did in the movie. I was doing 66 on a 65 mph highway (color me law-abiding.. I can take it), when this guy comes zooming in from a left-entry ramp into the lane next to me. No problem; I stayed in the right lane, he entered the left, and he had plenty of room. Guess he didn't like plenty of room; he looked over at me, smiled an evil grin, then pulled directly in front of me into my lane, missing my left front by no more than 4 inches; NO exaggeration. I have no idea how we didn't have a 66-70mph collision. I swerved slightly as I saw it happen, and hit my horn on the off chance he WASN'T aware that he was being a total tool. He immediately slammed on his brakes at 70mph, about two feet in front of me. I hit mine, fishtailed a a bit but my trusty 325i stayed under control, and avoided any contact.. then they took off like a bat. I called in his license plate, but never heard anything about it. This happened on a commute to work, where I drive the same time every day. I was kind of nervous for the next few weeks, looking around for him every time I hit that ramp.

The next one happened this morning; nothing as dramatic, just yet one more example of the decline in humanity, is all. Country road, one lane each direction, solid yellow between the two, 55 mph. The Caddy in front of me was doing about 40. I didn't even come close to riding her tail; I hate it when folks do that, so I don't do it either. However, when the road hit a long uphill and split into a slow lane and a passing lane, she sped up to 55 and stayed in the passing lane. I crept up closer to her, but still a few car lengths back. She stayed in the passing lane, but I wasn't comfortable passing her on the right; you never know if someone who's ALREADY doing something stupid is going to do something else stupid. I flashed my lights. That didn't work. Gave her a couple light polite toots on the horn. She finally pulled over. As I passed her, I smiled and waved a thank you. The nice 50 year-old immaculately coiffed lady in furs in the Caddy gave me a perfectly red manicured middle finger salute.

And you wonder why my dog is one of my favorite people.

Best to all. Be safe.. it's a jungle out there.

Barry

Stories like these is why a future mod might just be a couple of 20mm cannons in my grill.

long story short for me

- driving to Dairy Queen with gf
- stop at yield cause Toyota Highlander was coming to my left to cross
- guy and wife in that vehicle proceeded to yell at me
- I was confused as to why
- they continued yelling non stop
- I gave them the finger
- guy got out and came to my window and tried to pull me out
- thought about getting out to punch him since I was being assaulted
- decided I shouldn't incase I get charged even though he was in the wrong
- I told him I'm calling the cops (as he was attacking me)
- his daughter who was like 15 ran out of their vehicle and pulled him away and asked me not to call the cops
- talked to cops the next day
- cop calls the driver (I got the license plate)
- driver tells cop I ran a yield and almost hit them (so glad my gf witnessed that I was so far from that)
- cop tells driver he can't just go assaulting people

I told the cop I shouldn't have given the finger but the cop said he would have done the same thing lol. cop also asked if I wanted to press charges but I didn't want to deal with court and stuff, and I just wanted to know why he yelled at me lol.

ok that was kind of long

Wen't to Starbucks, and fire truck blared sirens at me, waved me down and asked me for donation in parking lot. I stopped to side for like 20sec to give em donation. Big SUV behind me yelled and honked, then burned out and left. 2min later after having my coffee and bread I see CHP pulled over SUV two streets down. I honked accidentally and when CHP turned, I waved at him and saluted. CHP tipped his hat. I then waved at SUV owner staring me down.

Now im scared he gonna go Joe Dirt on me and shoot me...

I was hobbling along downtown last night, freezing cold, when a young lady dressed fairly provocatively approached and said, "Hey, sweetie... how about some super sex?"

I said, "That sounds great about now.. I'll take the soup!"
