Talking FI power translated into 0-60 times

I was thinking of going FI next year.
Just wondering with stock tires, and a reliable 280-300HP turbo kit, how does that translate into 0-60 times.
In other words, keep the transmission, tires, suspension stock, spending 6k on a turbo kit (300 hp) and tuning, whats a reasonable expectation of 0-60 times.
P.s. I know slightly grippier tires are required but this is just me weighing out if FI is better or switching cars.

Thanks

With an auto FRS it is probably best to switch cars.

Maybe try looking into a upgraded final drive to stay in boost longer which should put you closer into a manuals gear ratios.

In the end it is an auto and you can't launch it hard and a 2.0 motor with low torque. If you want a fast 0-60 time, get a 4wd car that you can launch(not auto).

I wish I could. I do a lot of city driving and am distracted a lot of the time (eating, talking on the phone while driving). Can't afford two cars atm. Maybe down the road, I can try and push for a Wrx sti and just get better at multi-tasking with a manual.
and the linked 0-60 calculator is SIICK btw

Yeah, the auto holds you back a lot. Stock manual 86s run around 15 in the 1/4, and stock autos run in the 16s. Not being able to do a proper launch hurts you, and the taller gearing does you no favors.

If I had to guess, I'd reckon it would run around a 5-ish second 0-60 at 300HP, if you can get the stock tires to hook.

By the way, you're more likely to find good information about 1/4 mile times than 0-60.

Why 0-60 times?

Sounds about right, but stock tires will not do it. You'll do nothing but spin once boost hits. Definitely need upgraded tires to nail the low 5 second 0-60 runs.

Thanks guys. So many blown engines on the thread today. And none of them seemed like they were doing anything crazy either. Seems like I need to brush up on my stick shifting before I can switch to a WRX or something already built for FI.
Downshifting during a turn is really tricky for me.

?....OO how... It's AT (and you should finish shift before/as u enter)

You should stop looking for FI & fine-tune your skill first. So When you get a car with good power you can stay ahead of most ppl easy while doing silly things & just have more fun then them.
